i feel like we need to talk about this
you know what i fucking hate when talking about a piece of media? stuff like this:
child character: "this situation would suck for anyone, but i am an actual child so i am going to react in a bigger way than most people"
some people: "UGH, that character is so annoying!!! why dont they suck it up!! its super annoying that they dont suck it up!!!"
if you think like this about amuro, shinji, and denji. fuck you. go back to your normal stories where the boring ass character is just super brave all the time. i for one, fucking like it when characters react normally to a bad situation. i want characters to be like "hey, yeah. this is a fucked up situation, and i am going to grapple with if i want to do it or not."
or heck even with zenitsu, dont even fucking lie to me you wouldnt do the exact same things that he is doing in that show. you WOULD complain LOUDLY every time you had to go kill a demon. "ooo but i would get used to it!!" no the fuck you wouldnt. you lying piece of shit. you would absolutely would not "get used" to it.
im not saying you have to like these characters, heck, some of these characters I dont like very much. like amuro is the most boring character in mobile suit gundam, and shinji only gets good during the rebuilds, he is a jerk! but NOT because he is scared of being a pilot. hes a jerk because he treats everyone around him as if they hate him. which makes everyone hate him.
i want more characters where they arent brave all the time. heck, i like it when characters arent brave untill the last bit of the show, because they worked up to the point where they can beat their fear.
quite frankly, i hate it when a piece of media has a character go "im spooked!!" for one scene and then they go "im going to do the thing!" then they do the thing, and then their not spooked anymore, ever, forever. its so unbelievably lame.
