AMRAP (As Many Reps (or Rounds) As Possible) workouts
AMRAP is a crossfit-inspired term that stands for “as many rounds as possible”. A round is completed once you’ve done a set of each exercise. There are a couple of ways to do this type of workout.
· Option 1. You can set a timer to a set amount of minutes for example 20-30 minutes and try to see how many rounds you can execute in that allotted time.
For example:
20 mins
Jumping jax 20x
Reptiles 20x
High knee 20x
Jump lunges 20x
Push-up 20x
· Option 2. You can choose 4-5 different exercises, set a number of reps for each exercise and see how long it takes you to complete a set number of rounds.
For example:
5 rounds
Jumping jax 20x
Reptiles 20x
High knee 20x
Jump lunges 20x
Push-up 20x
Key point! During this exercise, you push yourself to the max!!! From my experience, very few people go anywhere near their full intensity. Yes, it can be hard, but it is the only way to get fit. This cuts you up beyond belief and really really works.
