-He was born Edward John Harper a few hundred years ago in England, though he doesn’t really remember much of his early human life.  His father was a blacksmith and he trained as his apprentice when he was a young man.  At some point during his time training he met Katherine, a beautiful and clever girl who worked in town, and they fell in love and got married. They had three children, two girls and a boy.

-As happy as he seemed with his life, he felt like something was strangely missing.  Then he met Alexi and he knew he’d found what he was looking for.  The strength of the connection scared him at first, but no one else had made him feel as understood and loved as Alexi did.

-Then the change happened.  Mercifully, he didn’t remember much of it, only waking up among the bodies of his family.  Once he pieced together what happened, he was horrified at what he’d done.  He still carries around the guilt.

-He didn’t stay in England after he changed.  When his family was found, he faked his death and left the country.  He spent the next hundred years trying to lie as low as possible and as close to depressed as an undead man could be

-Eventually he ended up in America, where he found it much easier to keep up with the ever changing times and technology.

-Generally not great at being a vampire.  Not extremely keen on the whole “stalking humans with an intent to kill and drain” thing, he got a medical degree so he could have access to blood bags and keeps them stocked.

-Never joined a coven or anything because he felt like he didn’t deserve to have a family since he failed to protect his first one.

-Changed his name after Twilight came out, for obvious reasons. He read it just for spite and finds the series hilarious.

-Likes animals, even though he finds their extremely short lifespans a little upsetting.

-Also likes sleep (a lot) and will hibernate if left to his own devices.

Wanted Connections:

She was born and raised in a beach town in Texas — Corpus Christi. She grew up in very freeing home with a lot of liberty to do as she pleased. She had a pretty happy childhood, spoiled by her parents and constantly at the beach - because what was there to do when the nearest big city was more than 45 minutes away?

She didn’t actually hold back in anything, always giving her all in everything she did and at 18, that meant spreading her wings and moving to Austin, TX. 

That was when she was met with her first speed bump - as everyone does in their life. Allie's luck seemed to have gone down hill then. She didn’t have much of a plan other than community college.

She got swept up in the college town lifestyle of house parties, drinking, and the complicated relationships. And boy did her relationships get complicated or rather, relationship. For the better part of her early twenties, Allie was stuck in a rut of a relationship where she blindly did everything for her partner and got nothing in return.

During her time in Austin and in one of her very depressive lows, she turned first to the negatives in her life - more drinking, dabbing in drugs. 

She was in a slump and ironically, it was the first time in her life that she felt like she was drowning. 

Allie was able to pull herself from the situation she was in with the help of friends and family. Her life seemed to be on the up and up, getting a few gigs here and there shooting graduation pictures but it was still very routine for her liking. 

She was itching for the freedom she grew up with and the opportunity of heading to Amor Isle couldn’t have come at a better time. 

She doesn’t exactly know what to expect but she’s there with an open mind.

-Remington was born in Alabama, to a couple who seemed like fairly normal people.  If ‘normal’ were two zoologist that started a wildlife reserve/big cat sanctuary on the side of a mountain.

-From a young age, he was helping out with the business, studying the behavior of the animals that they’d rescued or taken in.  He was often there for feeding times and enrichment time, and he learned the value of the creatures and has a huge respect for them.

-When he was twelve or thirteen he learned about the existence of the supernatural.  Up until that point, he’d been ready to believe it was all myth, but he and his father encountered a vampire trying to break into one of the cages.  The encounter had infuriated Remington.

-He sought out hunters after that, asking to be trained until he actually found one that was willing to train a kid.  He spent the next several years learning all he could about the different species and supernatural beings and how to protect himself and others against them.

-Around the time he turned twenty, the hunter that had been his mentor and teacher went missing.  There was very little information to be gathered, but he picked up what he could find and spent the next seven year tracking whatever it was that took the other hunter. 

-Years of searching came up empty, even though Remington was very skilled.  Upset and with a severely damaged ego, he went back home and reacquainted himself with the animals at his family’s sanctuary while he waited on the next opportunity to hunt.

-Two tiger cubs were born a couple of years later to one of the newer rescue tigers.  The mother was extremely malnourished when they got her, so the cubs were both very sick when they were born.  Remington named them Timber and Tika and poured all of his time and attention into caring for them.  Tika, along with the mother tiger, didn’t make it, but Timber pulled through. 

-When Remington got his letter inviting him to the island, he knew that he couldn’t leave Timber behind, so he brought him along.  

-He’s been given good reason to suspect that there are supernatural beings on the island and if they pose a threat to humans, he’s prepared to intervene.

This is going to get a bit long because Dakota is adapted from another character I wrote a while ago and was bummed I never got to write;

Dakota was raised understanding the importance of hard work and dedication. While there were many different things she wanted to try as a child ranging from music to horseback riding, her family simply couldn’t afford to support all her interests. They could pay for dance classes for her, which she quickly grew bored of but was forced to attend by her parents until 5th grade (‘a lesson on commitment,’ she remembered them saying). 

When she was middle school, she learned more fully about being a witch, along with it that she’d inherited her mother’s active ability of clairvoyance (meaning she could perceive future events with certain triggers). But her mother also cautioned her to the problems of developing this ability–her mother had seen the death of loved ones with this ability but had no power to stop it. But Dakota learned how to keep her power at bay. 

In high school, Dakota excelled at most things. High expectations were place on herself and her brother to not only exceed in class but to be involved in clubs. She was not only in the art club as an officer but also an active member of the Model UN and a part-time server at a restaurant close to her house. 

Although she got her top pick of universities, she was burned out. She managed to last one semester at the University of New Mexico before dropping out to do ‘something else’ with her life. Her parents weren’t wild about the idea, but they supported her taking some time off to travel and figure out her next move. 

For a year, she traveled around the states, making enough to pay for food by doing odd jobs, tarot readings, etc. While she was travelling through New Orleans, she fell in love with the city. It was bewitching and on one of her night strolls through the city, an idea hit her. She could start her own fortune-telling business (given she already had a clear advantage over all the others).

After two years of being in business, Dakota was finally making enough money to begin saving up money instead of just paying off loans and bills. But her success came at a cost: one-day Dakota came to find a brick had been thrown through the front window of her shop. Attached to the brick was a note saying; “I know what you really are. Pack your bags and leave or I’ll expose the truth.” Later that week, she closed her business down, set up the space to rent, and formulated a new plan.

vanessa grew up a very human life, her father was a fairy, but lived among humans after falling in love with her mother, a witch.

her father’s family wasn’t the most accepting of those who were not fairies. which has led to vanessa never seeing them.

her parents raised her with all the love they could possible show the girl, knowing that both witches and fairies could have a dark side and wanted to make sure that she never went down that road.

her mom’s parents were very dark witches who only practiced dark magic, so she never taught vanessa any of it, knowing how much dark magic could corrupt a person’s heart.

at school she had many friends since her kind nature made it so everyone wanted to be around her since they knew she would never betray them or hurt them. 

though sometimes she was too trusting and put her trust in the wrong people that led her to get hurt more than once. 

but she never told anyone outside her family’s trusted friends what she was, knowing that humans weren’t so kind to people they couldn’t understand.

and while she knew she was a fairy, growing up she never had any fairy abilities, which made her wonder why that was.

once she was eighteen, the spell her mom placed on her to suppress her fairy abilities wore off. her parents said they did it to keep her parental grandparents from finding out, afraid that they would take her. because while she was a hybrid, she was still a fairy and a fairy who also had witch magic could be pretty powerful.

she quickly learned what fairy powers her dad had a specialty in ice and animals. which made sense to vanessa since she loved the cold weather and loved being around animals. 

her parents still wanted her to stay far away from her dad’s side of the family, afraid of them trying to use her since she was very kind and naive.

when she got the letter about amor, she was a little surprised, but excited. she really hopes that everything that was told to her about it was the truth.
