   “i need your keys.” she practically demands, as she walked into the living room with a very unhappy isabella clutched in her arms. octavia couldn’t remember the last time isabella stopped crying for more than a few moments. she’s not sleeping. none of them are and octavia’s running out of things to do. running out of ways to help her daughter---yeah, a great job she’d been doing lately. all day isabella screamed until now, when the sun had already set and octavia had taken the baby with her to try and get some sleep. it’s the most basic thing--- something a mother should be able to do and yet, she’s failing that. so exhausted or not, she needs bellamy’s keys because at the very least she knew isabella would be soothe if she was tucked nicely in her car seat and was lulled to sleep by a moving vehicle. at this point it’s all octavia’s got.

“ well, here’s to you, mate. “ he offers with a smile in spite of the ragged appearance that writes across Bellamy’s face. he looks tired but right now a drink between them is something that he hopes will lift his spirits. was Bellamy angry with him? he hopes so, that always does put him in the best of moods. drinking, fighting, maddening anger. “ you managed to put down three attacks in one night. I would ask you to tell me the gritty details but from the looks of you it seems as though you bit through it all. plans and all. “ he smiles, grabbing the bottle and handing it over to Bellamy instead of a mere glass.

“ I should assume that you’re here for my brother. he isn’t in but I’m not his secretary so I can’t exactly jot down this meeting for him. “ she says it so dismissively without even looking at him. does it matter that she wants to? does it matter that she feels somewhat knotted up inside just looking into his dark eyes? bloody hell, he fascinates her but she would much rather steer clear of her brother’s Machiavellian plans - at which Bellamy is the heart i seems like. “ unless you’re here for me which, in that case, color me surprised. after the last time you were here and the manner that you left I would have thought you were scared away. “ after all, unloading on a man and having him comfort her and then waking up to finding him gone is something that she isn’t entirely keen on allowing.

Okay so it’s been a while since I interacted with Bellamy but? honestly, I remember the times we did and??? you put up with all the shit Hope threw at Bellamy lmao. Like, that says enough right. No but really, it’s a great Bellamy!! I especially love reading the Klaus and Bell threads bc they’re so married even if they say they aren’t. Hope agrees with me. your multi is also amazing and i think we still have some threads going there? with francis and aramis but, either way you portray all the muses really well and it’s always fun to interact with you! 

    “I’m a big girl, I know what I am doing and I can make my own decisions, Bellamy.” She didn’t want to sound as annoyed as she did, yet that didn’t change that it was how she felt. With a sigh she rubbed her temple and turned to look at him. “Sorry, I know you just want to help, but can you trust me? It’s not like I didn’t save all your asses several times.” While things might have been currently rather tense, he was still family and so it wasn’t difficult to admit that she was sorry about sounding harsh. “Please?”

her hand comes up to stop whatever it is that’s about to come from his lips and her eyes grow heavy with stern admonishing. “ and before you say anything this isn’t even how I make money. “ in fact she is a rather large partner in a designer label here in New York and based in Paris but does that matter? this was fun, hilarious when you think how easy men were even when they have gorgeous brides waiting for them. besides what other job would give her a reason to be close to Bellamy again? not that she cared. she hated him. has hated him for years if she’s going to be honest. “ it’s just a...hobby. “ but she trails off because honestly that makes it sound so much worse.
