Ro’ had been tinkering with a panel just outside of security. She was kind of just fiddling around with it, and if you were paying attention, you might be able to figure out that she really didn’t know what she was doing. She might’ve just been too darn stubborn to call for help from engineering to help sort out this issue.

Suddenly, An alarm blasted through the air, assaulting her ears. From the loud, proximate nature of the noise, it was quickly deduced to be coming from the reactor room. Why did she have to be standing right outside when the alarm went off? But she couldn’t worry about that right now, because, if that alarm was going off, it meant you won't have to deal with the annoyance if you don’t deal with it, because you will be very dead.

She made her way in, jogging slowly, trying to assess the situation. Lord knows reactor cores were not her specialty, and between her lack of knowledge and the loud alarm still blaring in her ears, she stood still, unsure of where to even start. She thought about maybe the AI, it was programed to help in these kinds of situations, but she wasn't even sure how to activate it.

She felt a sense of relief wash over her as she heard another crew mate enter the room. Turning to face you, She had the most pleasant facial expression you’ve probably ever seen her make, was she… smiling?

WARNING! RADIATION LEVELS RISING...

alarms blare, lights flash, and all normal tasks and responsibilities are to be put on hold. the nuclear reactor has sprung a leak, and without fixing, will quickly reach a critical state. in order to prevent the destruction of all lifeforms aboard the ship, all crewmembers are instructed to firstly, keep calm, and secondly, make their way down to the reactor for repairs. the ship AI will give out instructions to those unfamiliar with the inner workings of the reactor.

to keep order and prevent any casualties, crewmates are also expected to keep close to one another and not wander off. if you must leave your group, find another on the way to your destination to be picked up by.

once this crisis is averted, all crewmembers must report to the medbay to be treated for radiation exposure.

Mid Event Update: Starting 10pm EST OOC Dates: 7th-14th

While the group para's pertaining to the events leading up to this are still underway at approximately ten pm March 7th Rodolphus Lestrange escaped captivity with the accidental help of Mary MacDonald, Fabian Prewett, and Remus Lupin. As he escaped his former home he spiked the punch with potion with the intention of causing a distraction. With many of the guests and werewolves distracted he figured he would be able to leave without incident or notice.

The effects of this potion vary. For most wizards it causes extreme intoxication, for werewolves it can cause hallucinations and an elevated sense of self with lowered inhibition. However, due to physiology, not everyone reacts positively to the effects.

Regulus, Bellatrix, and Andromeda Black were at the snacks table directly after the punch was tainted.

Please use this opportunity to interact with characters or players you may not have had the pleasure to or to help characters forget their differences--whatever those may be.

You Are Invited To The First Pack Open House: OOC Dats: 7th-14th

Fenrir Greyback is having an Open House at the Former Lestrange Manor March 7th. All characters are invited to meet Pack Members, see the grounds (although some will, of course, be off limits such as the children’s areas), and learn about Werewolves and Pack Goals.

March’s Full Moon is considered a thawing moon in many cultures and, in that sense, this is an attempt to thaw relations between Pack Members and NonPack Members.

So what can your character do during this event?

Participate in your Group Para.

Interact with characters or players you haven't before--socializing may not be for every character but now they're forced to smile over Hors d'oeuvres.

Destroy some property, argue, plan and escape or consider a method of attack.

Attempt to melt your characters own icy relations or make some new ones.

Keep track of AmongEvent in case there is any mid-event information that might be important to your interaction.

Send a message early and often if you are unsure what or how to continue. I will always be happy to help!

And for those following Among but not yet involved, feel free to toss in an application and have your character be a much wanted late arrival.

G R O U P P A R A | O P E N H O U S E

Occurring March 7th. Event Dates March: 7-14th

So group para's work like this. You can do them like normal para's (threads on the dashboard) or you can make a chatzy, do the para, and the post it as a whole. The responses to group para's should (after the initial set up) be relatively short--so they can keep moving--and the group para should go on the top of your "response list".

The Group Para is not the only thing you can do for this event! You can still do gif-chats, minis, and other paras of your choosing. If you have a big plot you'd like to throw into the mix please just let me know.

Similarly, if anyone is sitting on an app--provided the player is accepted before the events start they can also be added in. For example, if Sirius Black, Jamse Potter, or Ted Tonks were to be accepted--he could be added into either Open The Door or a Family Affair. I'm reasonably sure this could be done even if the para has already started.

Open The Door | The Pack Open House is a grand time--not for rubbing shoulders (or even for the food) but for snooping. There have always been secrets and doors that aren't supposed to be opened--certainly not to Fabian Prewett and not even to Remus Lupin. But snooping around wouldn't quite be the same without someone to catch them at it.

Fenrir ✛ Narcissa ✛ Lucius

The Grand Invitation | Narcissa Malfoy has avoided meeting the famed Fenrir Greyback for years. Not even Lucius' position, the social implication that she should entertain her husband's buisness partner, has swayed her or Lucius into thinking mixing their two worlds is a good idea. With the Open House, however, all excuses to avoid the former Lestrange Manor and Fenrir Greyback have ended. Lucius, Narcissa, and Fenrir collide for the first time.

Bellatrix ✛ Regulus ✛ Andromeda

Family Affair | Bellatrix and Regulus have visited the Pack before--together (although they were separated) but Andromeda has been there more often. This is the first, and possibly last, time that all three will be in the former Lestrange Manor at the same time. Thing is, there's a lot of trouble three Blacks can get up to left alone--they know Pure Blood Manor's better than most.

Like THIS post to be included in a group mini para. A group minipara means shorter responses with more than two players interacting. These can be done on the dash or in a chatzy.

This event is where Rodolphs Lestrange will escape captivity. As such, its an optimum time for any player to join as Rodolphusor Rabastan Lestrange.

Players can also do other things at this event such as look for weaknesses in the Pack or a specific character, search for missing characters, make social connections, plan a hunting party that runs at the same time--the opportunities are endless.
