Today I turn 36 and so far I burnt the pan of birthday brownies I made bc I fell asleep (birthday nap!) while they were in the oven and I slept through the timer going off.
Also it rained and is slippery out, so naturally Penny saw a stray cat and took off at full 100lb speed, causing me to slip on the driveway and skin my knee - which hurts a lot worse when you’re 36 than when you’re 8 and just fell off a bike (which I’m fairly sure is the last time I skinned my knee).
So, overall, I give it a 5/10 (I did get to nap) but it can probably only go up from here 👍😂

I have had Covid this week, and it has kicked my ass ya'll. Today is the first day since Monday that I haven't felt like a puddle of plague. I've lost all sense of taste and smell which is a very peculiar sensation and idc about the smell so much but your girl loves food, and I have been sad bc I made what I think was an absolute killer chicken noodle soup yesterday but all I could taste was warm :/
Anywho. I felt compelled today to share that I have actually written several paragraphs on the last chapter of Safe and maybe I can finally tie that loose end up in my life so my brain won't twitch if I try to start another story haha.

My treat for being productive and adulting today was supposed to be working on my fic but instead it ended up being watching a video of Christian Yu lifting weights multiple times while stuffing the kettle corn I got at the Fall Festival last night in my mouth. So. Still pretty solid 👍
