21/12/2020 Hi everyone! It’s been a looong time since my last post. I’m currently working on my webshop in smart bottles. I miss posting my productivity days like I used to do in university. It motivated me so much! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I hit those 100 productivity days per semester more than once! I used to be so proud of it. #100daysofproductivity
Graduated law school: looking in the rear view mirror
Hi guys!
As you may have read: I graduated law school! Woohoo! I’ve spent years and years on law school. Some of you followed me during this journey and supported me all the way through, so thank you very much for doing so!
So let me introduce myself a bit for those who didn’t follow me last couple of years. Currently I am 26 years old and I finished law school about a year ago. I got my Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and a specialized LL.M degree in Law. The first two degrees I did in my mother tongue and a little bit of English courses too. The last degree I completely ditched my mother tongue and went for a bilingual program in French and English!
Obtaining three degrees was quite hard. In all honesty, I’ve spent a lot of time stressing out and I’ve made a lot of sacrifices to get to this point in life. Was it all worth it? Some of it was, some of it definitely wasn’t.
Some of the sacrifices I made, was giving up a lot of free time. Back then it seemed worth it, but looking back, I could’ve spent more time with my family and friends. I realize now there are more important things in life than your degree. Of course a degree is crucial, but it cannot completely take over your personal life. And it did.
I’m sure most of you are able to find a good balance between uni and your personal life, but I wasn’t. In fact, due to health problems, I already lost a lot of time being ill in bed or spending hours at the doctor’s. So there was just enough time left to turn my studies into a success, but there wasn’t much time left for my own personal life, my happiness and the well-being of my family and friends. That was a mistake.
What I should’ve done was getting my priorities straight: my personal life, my happiness, my own well-being. That means more time for me, more time for my family, more time for my friends, for traveling the world, for my hobbies instead of ditching each single one of them to clear out my schedule, for exercising etc.
I love the studyblr community. When I wasn’t feeling motivated, you were my number one coach! So THANK YOU. However, looking back, I am wondering whether we should’ve given ourselves a break once in a while? We were so focused and we motivated each other to keep going, but did we worry enough about other people’s happiness and health? In my opinion, we should’ve worried more about those things. A degree is important, but without health and happiness in your life, you’re just a hollow person with a degree.
You probably think you’re fine because you’re young and flexible and so on, but what if you force yourself too much and pay the price later? What if your body stops functioning once you get that degree? What if you’re not able to use your degree the way you imagined?
It happened... to me.
Maybe I share a bit more details with you about this later, but it already took me a lot of courage to share this story with you. I think it’s important though to share it!
Hopefully I can convince you to allow yourself to have a very nice day today! Keep studying, but take some time off later to see a friend or call a family member. Maybe find a way to exercise a bit today, or take some time to be creative. Do whatever makes you happy and healthy.
Talk to you later!
xoxo

27/08/2019 Hi guys!! Long time no see, because it has been 6 months since my last post. My life changed dramatically... for the better!
As you guys know, I’m a law student. This year I went to the other side of the country for an LL.M program in French and English. (not my mother tongue) I definitely planned on keeping you guys up to date, but life just got in the way.
The program was SO intense. I passed almost every exam, but now I still have to do two more, the LAST ones... and then I will FINALLY get my degree.
Usually I would post so much on Tumblr because it motivates me so much to study! But now I’ve got the best boyfriend who supports me in every way possible. He’s the guy for me. We’ve been together for one year now and six months ago we decided to move in together. We were tired of the distance and basically wanted to see each other as much as possible! It’s love.
So now we’re living in a brand new apartment together. I love it! There’s still so much to do to make it a cosy home though.
I queued a lot of your fabulous studyblr posts and I’m planning on sharing my study pictures too! (and those are probably the last study pictures ever!)
xoxo

Feels GREAT to be back on Tumblr! #thankyouall
Selfcare tip
I just made a hair and face mask out of olive oil (3 tbs), one avocado, one raw egg and vanilla sugar. Just leave in your hair and on your face for 30 mins and then rinse! I washed my hair afterwards with shampoo and some conditioner though. My hair feels soft and deeply nourished! Also my face feels soft and clean.
