I'm sure you're not alone. In your house, it's your dog's couch, chair, bed (in your bedroom), not yours, and if you try to reclaim this space, you might get a growl in return. Eating should also be an activity you can use to establish your dominance - you eat first, and then feed your dog. Playing or any other activity should also be initiated by you. Again, this won't be easy at first but it will help you have a much happier dog in the long term.
