He needs specifics – denominations, names, diagnoses, reasons. He should have something to hang a theory on by now – would, if he ever pushed back against Robbie’s utter refusal to engage with the topic of his own powers.Â

Occasionally, after a very long day or a particularly hard knock on the head, Robbie also isn’t Robbie, and Amadeus has a standing permission to handcuff him to the radiator if he tries to leave. Â

Every backend process in Amadeus’s brain screeches to a halt at once. If Robbie follows up with anything other than ‘and it was the worst thing ever’, his head might explode, and the sentiment must show on his face because Robbie’s starts to resemble a tomato. Â
