Old habits die hard
If there was something Leon needed to do, almost 90% of the time you could expect him to not do that thing.
Right now, he was supposed to have met with a certain over-muscled coach in the field 5 minutes ago. And yet here Leon was, chatting up the local chicks about his new pokemon.
“She’s pretty cute, huh?” He knelt down, patting his overexcited Lillipup on the head as a pair of girls looked on, cooing in delight at the adorable pokemon. Leon grinned and looked up at them. “I was thinking about naming her Lily, because--” His voice constricted suddenly as his eyes focused squarely on something beyond the girls. Something big and angry.
“W-wow, look at the time!” Leon stuttered, gesturing to a watch that did not exist on his arm. “I just realized I needed to head off, bye!” He scooped up Lillipup and quickly walked away; he could feel the bemused stares of the girls, but they didn’t take nearly as large a presence in his mind as the huge man currently hunting him down. He cursed under his breath as he made his escaping, hoping Nidai didn’t see him.
