Captain America : Brave New World
What I like the most is that it blends with political themes, focusing on the international conflict between Japan and America’s agreement over adamantium, which adds an interesting plot to the film.
Anthony Mackie shows that he’s great as the new Captain America. He proved that he’s not trying to be Steve Rogers but is instead becoming his own version of Captain America without the super-soldier serum. I loved that Sam fully used his shield, combining it with the vibranium wings with shield combo of attack and defense. For me Sam’s leadership stands out, proving he’s ready to lead the Avengers. His scenes with Joaquin Torres were fun, and the moments with Isaiah Bradley were really emotional.
Harrison Ford surprises as Thaddeus Ross, bringing both gravitas and emotional depth to his role as the U.S. President, while unleashing sheer intensity as Red Hulk. Samuel Sterns also shows promise as a villain, but unfortunately, his limited screen time leaves his character feeling underdeveloped.
The visuals are hit or miss. Some CGI, like Mackie in front of a green screen, isn’t great, but the aerial action and fight sequences are top-notch. Overall, the film is not that bad or good, but somewhere in between, which didn’t disappoint. Despite a few flaws, the movie sets up an exciting future for the New Avengers film, and I can’t wait what’s Sam Wilson planning next.
