It's supposed to be a study date, the library wasn't as packed as it was compared to the study weeks in the university. Both Ella and Elliot are hiding away from the rest in between the literature section, particularly the very old ones. Their notes splayed upon their laps as they were supposed to be studying together, something something for the historical literature class with Dr. Barts.
Elliot is skimming through the text, something of finding more notes onto the paper there paired together as Ella does the same, they both engrossed quietly in their work as the library is now quiet.
He sighs quietly and then shuts the book a bit rougher, earning a look of surprise from his girlfriend Ella.
"Sorry, I think I'm at the deep end. It's like..our fifth book and I don't think I can find anything." He murmurs as Ella turns to close the book quietly too, before turning to face him.
"It's alright, we still have time."
"I..it's due in two weeks."
"Means..we got time, dear." He nods at that, Ella always finds a way to calm him down and he likes that. He gives her a smile before scooting closer to her, pulling her against his lap there.
He couldn't help but admire her, every little thing of her never failed to make his heart beat faster at that. He's lucky to have her, truly. She's been that one person to bring himself out of the rut, from a person who never believes that love is in the cards, now he's the happiest he's ever been. He leans close and nuzzles her neck gently at that, sighing her scent wanting to be close and closer to her if he could.
"You're one in a million." He whispers and then, he couldn't help but getting into quite a mood. Something of becoming too close, the proximity felt good.
Her gaze falls onto him, softening at his words. The love melodic and sweet nothing does have its impact on her, as her fingers rest against the roots of his blonde hair, gently caressing it as Elliot's eyes are shut.
"You alright there?" She hums the question his way, before he turns to meet her gaze.
"Yeah, a bit kind of a mess but, I have you. And I think that's good enough for me." He whispered and then Ella couldn't help but feel her heart thump at that happily.
"I love you." She whispers in the midst quiet of the library as his lips perk up into a wide grin. "I love you too, more than you know."
And at that, his fingers that rest upon her cheeks continue to form circles in a soothing movement. "May I?"
At her nod, he felt his grin flare up as he pulls her into a kiss, planting their lips together in a motion that always managed to take both of their breaths away. She pressed her lips as Elliot continues his exploration against her tongue, even if the movements he has memorized everyday. Every kiss with her felt new, with each one of them bringing a similarly butterfly feeling into his stomach, as if he couldΒ be overflowed by the love that's truly alive. At the reciprocation, Ella felt his fingers curling into her hair gently, the tug brings a new euphoria even in the darkened aisles of the library. And with every moment, the kiss grew into something more, as he began to straddle her gently against his lap, the books surrounding them were clashed and fallen, earning soft gasps by the audience around yet they both were still focused within their own world to realize what was going on.
-
"Ehem!" A sound breaking the once bubble they were in, before he pulls away. Their lips swollen from the effect before turning to see, the librarian herself giving them both looks. Elliot couldn't help the redness that grew against his cheeks at that, before he meets Ella's gaze.
"No profanity in the library." She stresses with a terrifying tone before the older woman left them both, as Elliot and Ella both broke into laughter, a quieter one. They definitely have been caught, but they couldn't deny that the kiss was out of the worldly, and to him; he believes he couldn't really think of history pages after what has went down.
-
He turns his head to meet her gaze, "shall we head out before they ban us in here?"
Ella chuckles at his words before nodding, "let's go."
And as they pick up the mess and pack their books, Elliot couldn't help but notice the slight..bulge against his pants. Ella couldn't help but notice it too, before she lets out a giggle in surprise.
"We definitely have to head out, Ella." He whispers with a shy grin, as they both hand in hand escaping the library together.
-
In the end, history is definitely not going to be in their agenda for the next few hours.

pairing: naya davis x rider mcqueen.
prompt: desperate. (day 1 - @ockissweek )
a/n: rider belongs to @wayhavenots ! i hope you like it <333
Naya Davis was never good at goodbyes, because before this everything felt easy. There was a long period of time that she was alone, on her own navigating the world. And goodbyes felt like the easiest thing for her to do, to leave the apartment, to leave whatever home she had before. But, now; goodbyes felt like the hardest as she stays awake with her suitcase half open, as she felt a weight against her lap. Rider was sound asleep against her, they have talked about the farewell and in her mind; she really wanted it to be quick, painless. She thought it would be easy, but at the sight of her lover that she had to say goodbye is making everything much harder than it should be.
Naya seems to hesitate her moves as of late, she knows she's grown attached and worst of all; she's in love. Love was never supposed to be in her dictionary, in her life even. It never was supposed to be a constant in her life yet, here he is, Rider McQueen who was once a nuisance in wayhaven changes everything. Her fingers rests against his hair, caressing it gently. The movement felt nice and familiar as she watched the man stir slightly from his nap.
"Naya, babe - what time is it?" He yawns and sits up beside her, prompting a smile.
"Almost close to midnight." She replies, as she watches him move.
"And...your flight is at what..like 10 am right?" He muses as if trying to calculate the time with his head. She nodded, "I.. unfortunately got a bit distracted, but alas I got time."
He notices her tone, solemn. It's been like this for the last few days. The final days perhaps before she took that one way flight to Chicago.
He turns to face her, his fingers rests against her chin, making her look into his eyes. She meets his gaze and at the moment, it feels as if she could fall.
"Goodbyes was supposed to be the easiest thing for me, but..now, I'm with you; it's so fucking hard." She lets out a heavy breath. And he couldn't help but give a sad noise in return at that.
"It's okay, we have time before you have to go right?"
She mirrors his chuckle and nod, before she feels his lips planted a kiss against her forehead. The feeling was memorized by her as it is probably the last time she would feel it, as Rider begins to stand from their shared haven and helps her with the rest of the clothes.
-
And when they're done packing, Naya decides to take a quick nap with her boyfriend before leaving. And when the alarm goes off, she begins to move away from him. Letting the man sleep happily, as she wrote down a note putting it at the side of his pillow.
She gives him one more kiss on his forehead, before leaving the apartment as early as she could . She doesn't want to make the goodbye harder than it should be, as she leaves.
-
And to Rider's surprise, when he woke up; the side of her bed was unoccupied. The familiar warmth from before, of the person he loves has disappeared. Checking the time, it was almost 8, she possibly had just left. the note clutched in his hand, as he abandoned the shower and instead took the desperate measures to leave for the airport before it's too late.
Thankfully the traffic at the morning of a weekend is non existent, as he parks his bike over the airport parking. Speeding his legs up into the entrance, his gaze falls onto the departure screen. Flight to Chicago, the gate is open but it hasn't departed yet, he got time. His feet transform into a full speed as he searches through the baggage area, before the gate. He notices the familiar figure standing in her red jacket, a signature color of hers. He immediately ran and ran before he held onto her hand, his sleep deprived self disappeared.Β
"Naya?" He prompts earning a look of surprise from the woman.
"Rider..I, what are you doing?" Her voice breaks a little at the sight of him, he cannot make this harder for her than it should be.
"You didn't even wake me before you left."
"I..I didn't want to make it harder than it will be, Rider." She returns back as her arms hugging herself, as if trying to hold herself back.
At first, he felt the hurt. But he understands, eventually. He leans closer, his hand cups her cheeks gently, before tilting her head upwards to meet his gaze.
"Naya Davis, I wanted to send you off. I can't let you go without ever saying goodbye." He says softly, voice breaking a little.
She felt her throat bobs at that, her expression that was once high and strong fall.
"Fuck, I hate you." She says in a tone that's familiar to him, that giddiness that come with it. There's no malice hint in her tone, as he smiles too. But it's not true after all, she truly loved him wholeheartedly with all she had and he knows that, he knows her too well for that. His hand caresses her cheeks gently, the gesture was all too familiar to her when she melts. She has checked in, she's sent her baggage in, and now she has to do the impossible, heading into the terminal. 5 minutes ago, that felt like the easiest thing in the world, now..she doesn't know if she could do it or not.
They both stand in the middle of the crowd saying goodbye, and tear stricken groups.
"You really are a nuisance, that I've grown to care and love." She says softly as he brought her a cup of coffee in both of their hands, smiling.
"I'm happy to be in service babe." He replies with a smile that tends to make her heart do somersaults in return. At the cold environment of the airport, she felt the fear of leaving again as the announcement began to fill both of their ears.
At the familiarity of the flight number, he perks his head up meeting her gaze. An invisible question written in his eyes, as she nods. It is time.
-
'...Once again, all remaining passengers for the Flight CK4356 to Chicago, please proceed to Gate F5 immediately. The gate will be closing soon.'Β The announcement made her stomach churn as they both stopped by the divided path, the parallel line between departing and arriving. The line that she has to cross at any moment.
She lets out a heavy breath, as she meets his gaze. The crowd begins to quicken their steps all around, as she holds his gaze.
"It's time." She whispers, somehow the hardest thing to ever leave his lips, as Rider turns to look at her.
"I really can't convince you to stay huh?"
She chuckles painfully at his words, before shaking her head.
"I had to go, this..is the one chance I have to go out there and do it." And he nods, knowing everything. She had to leave, she had to do whatever it was in Chicago, she had to spread her wings and fly further away. Life is much more than all the supernaturals in wayhaven yet, he finds it difficult to let go.
"I know, and god, I told myself I wouldn't have a hard time letting go. But this is hard, Naya. So hard."
Naya felt her eyes watery at that, as he pulled her into an embrace. She found herself breaking down after holding the tears back for the last few days, she felt his hand wiping the tears away with his thumb.
"You know, I'll come back right?"
His eyes fall onto a familiar gaze, as he nods. They've talked about this, something about maybe a year or two. She'll be back here, and that's enough for him to hope.
"Promise me that, come back to me, to us." He says gently as she nods.
And at the final final call, she meets his gaze.
"One more kiss for the road, Rider McQueen?"
"You're always on, Naya Davis." He gives her a painfully sad grin, as his hands rest against her cheeks pulling her close, as their lips meet into a kiss. Every little feeling wrapped within it's desperateness, the goodbye, all the love, the memories, the pain, the sadness, the light, the memories wrapped all around. It's desperately vulnerable, yet every goodbye has its own metaphor to that. A moment of desperate vulnerability as they both clutched upon the other, before breaking away for air.
Their foreheads rest to one another, as she chirps at the sight of lipstick against his lips. Before pulling away, their intertwined hands stayed together as the final announcement kept ringing on loop, and they both knew she needed to go.
"I love you." She says and this time it surprises him, she never said it first before. And he smiles at that, tear stricken eyes and then nods.
"I love you too." And then, he watches her disappear from his peripheral vision, rushing with the coffee in hand to her gate.
He felt himself numb at the lost, but deep down he believes she'll come back. She'll come back to him again, it was a promise after all.
Until next time, Naya. He thought to himself, as Naya situated herself by the window seat.
Until next time. Her fingers rests against her lip at the reminder of the kiss, she couldn't help but yearn for it more and more.
home // leo turner x devon kang ( belongs to @yakov-vasilyev )
The final text was hours ago, before misfits in remedy played their final show for their first leg of the tour. The encore ends with a bang, as Louis and Justin ends it with a rendition of a guitar riff, and confetti. As the curtains fall, Leo smiles to himself before turning to the rest of the members pulling them into an embrace.
He wasn't much of a talker in expressing his love and gratitude to the boys, but the hug was enough. He quickly changes into a set of new outfit, his jacket following him along before he bids a farewell to them, where he receives wishes of luck and knowing smiles. Nobody truly knew where he's going except to them, and he smiles to himself at that taking the first car to the airport.
Timezones was the biggest barrier to them, but they made it work. Sometimes it's 9 hours, sometimes it's longer and shorter depending where the circuit would take her. He flicks through his phone, it's supposedly 9 in the morning the next day for her; as he rereads the text. A good luck and a heart, simple but it does make him warm inside, the crinkling look in his eye that Johnny mentions, even his daughter Lilah noticed it too.
He chuckles quietly to himself in his seat, the plane about to lift off as he ponders on how his life changed somehow with her. He recalls the first time his heart somehow did palpations around her, made him worried that if he would die there and then, somehow of an exaggeration alone. But, he can't deny what he felt. It's new, scary, insanity and yet..when he learns to accept it the hardness of it softens into something much better.
He tosses and turn in his sleep, he missed the qualifying round but the channel was up and running, she managed to get a P3. And he couldn't even be more proud, and he is hoping to arrived and touch down just in time before the race. He slips in a quick text her way, 'touching down in a few hours.'
Time moves both slow and fast for him, but he finally lands.. after almost 12 hours. His jet lag would be lethal, but he's excited. He stops by the hotel before changing into a proper fit. He made it into the car, and manage to makes his way to the circuit just an hour before the race begun, his paddock pass ready around his neck as he enters. His eyes deemed dead at this point, but when he saw her from a distance it's like he swallowed an energy drink, when they made the eye contact.
He notices how she excuses herself already in her red fox fit, as he opens his arm to her. And when the distance close between them, he knows that the definition of home he kept on hearing when it was written by singers before. He understands it now, he understands that the home he has was imperfect, but the home he found within the person in his arms was enough to cure every homesickness that he ever had.
He chuckles when their embrace stayed a bit longer than usual, as he pulls Dev's hat away and puts it on his head. His gaze met with hers smiling, "hopefully I'm not too late."
Dev finds his tone somehow endearing but she shakes her head. "A close call, actually."
Leo grins at that, "see, I told you I'll be here.β which earns an eye roll from her. He leans forward and places a kiss on top of her head, the action alone was unfamiliar to him a year ago, yet now it was the closest kind of heaven he's ever known.
They stayed there together, away from prying eyes somehow due to them haven't made their appearance as a couple yet. But, it's nice to not be displayed to prying eyes and have this moment on their own. And when the time has come, he waits by the garage as she goes being the best driver she could be and drive her heart out. He sits by the garage with the headphones over his ear, being there as he promised to be.
And when it's all over again, the thrill have died down. They stayed together for the night with Gertrude barking his way in a some sort of an affectionate tone he grown to miss when they are apart. He lays there by the bed, with her by his side. He hums quietly an unknown melody as his finger traced her arms, the yearn to be close after being a thousand miles apart that's finally been fulfilled.
Leo Turner now understand and agree that it's true when the poets say, home is where the heart is. And this time, his heart is wherever she is, wherever Devon Kang will be.

The day isn't too busy for one apollo zarneki, he sits by the counter and went through his recent read. Something about the folkloric tales, and finally continuing his reading of the illiad that he borrows from his dad. The scribbles and annotations in the book was special, as he reads and did some quick research during his downtime at work.
To him, working at a bookstore feels equivalent to living a simple life. He adores being surrounded by books, and from time to time; he find it endearing seeing couples and group of friends come in to discuss the books in between the shelves and nooks of his tiny little haven.
There's always an old couple would sit by the window of the shop, they both can be seen reading together, spending their mundane time together. He always longed for a love like that, someone that shared the same interest in books as he does, to whispers sweet nothings in between the bookcases and reading in each other's grasp. A dream he always wanted to reach, as he saw the dream can be possible through her parents, Kent and Maia. They made his believe that love was real, yet when he's close to finding it everyone just wanted something lesser than him, and it made him stop believing at some point. But, he never stops wishing for it despite his twin keep teasing him about it.
He continue to read his book, only to hear some sighs in between the shelves. He wonders if he can lend a helping help, as the book was left upside down to the place where he left off and makes his way to the shelves. A particular shelve was his location, where he saw a stranger, looking quite stressed in finding a particular book from the shelves.
"may I help you?" He smiles politely, trying his best to help a customer in need. Thankfully the store is not as busy as it always is at the moment.
The customer turns around with a small smile, the demeanor he's giving off to Apollo was a shy quiet looking fellow. "I'm looking for a particular.. tale of Deucalion and Pyrrha. Some friends of mine recommended to come here since the selection is..a lot."
His eyebrows raised in surprise, that's the first he heard someone ever been so specific.
"Duecalion and Pyrrha? That's the first actually I've heard someone acknowledge their existence." He quips in surprise but not in a bad way, it's the best surprise.
The stranger just smiles at that suprised as well at finding someone who is familiar, "It's actually for my thesis, I'm writing on the folklorian myths of the Greek Gods."
Now he's intrigue, as the golden retriever boy says excitedly "god, that sounds amazing. I would love to read your thesis someday!" And then he realizes, he's too excited. He mentally scolds himself at that and smiles.
The stranger seems shy by the outbursts but presented a small smile, as Apollo notices and mentally scold himself again and again. "I am so sorry for the outburst, but I think I know what exactly you're looking for."
Apollo immediately grabs the ladder and climbs on top of the shelves grabbing a particular book, that was written specifically on that tale. He managed to befriend with most of the indie book publishers and many of them manage to give some of the rare copies to his shop.
"I believe this is the one you're looking for." He passed the book to the customer, who's smile widens at the sight of the book. It seems like he hit the jackpot. He wants to say something more, but he couldn't help noticing how in the midst of six billion people in the world, he met someone who actually has something in common with him. He has to say something, he have to!
"and by the way, I'm Apollo, and fun fact, was named by one of the Greek gods." He introduces himself with a funny looking grin, as the customer finds it quietly endearing but his reaction didn't give it away.
"I'm Ruslan." He says softly, a polite tone from him made Apollo smiles. The silence that follow was a bit awkward, but he couldn't help but want to know more about him but there's this fear of actually looking overbearing and terrified of scaring him away.
"nice to meet you ruslan, and hey let me check the book out for you." He says and leads Ruslan to the counter, where Apollo begins to do his duty of the cashier of the quiet bookshop alone, as Ruslan notices the books on his countertop. The Iliad and the tales of Orpheus and Eurydice, and this particular edition was limited.
He notices Ruslan eye-ing the books, and he smiles at that. "I am still half way through the Iliad, Homer had too much to talk about apparently." His words seems to poked fun and tease as he made Ruslan chuckle quietly.
"Homer's thoughts were unique, but some historian does question the authenticity of it." Ruslan adds seemingly an expert in the area of study, making Apollo smiles at the familiar knowledge.
He passes the paper bag, after putting some freebies and bookmarks from his shop as Ruslan pays. He gives him one last smile before he disappears from the store, leaving an awe-struck Apollo sighing happily. He maybe has found a new crush, which is quite early to tell. But he hopes someday their paths will cross again.
-
After his shift is over, he made his way back home to his parents for the weekend since his siblings are finally coming back home. Atlas is back from a backpacking trip in Spain, and Maria is back from college for the week. While his own twin, is also back from her abroad adventures for the semester holidays.
"you're late for dinner." Atlas says as Apollo steps in the house, earning greeting from Kent and Maia as well.
"Forgive me brother, there was a whole accident by the side of town. I had to take a detour." He says happily before sitting by his twin, before nudging her at the shoulder.
"miss me?" He prompts to Ari with a grin.
As she rolls her eyes, "Nope, I already missed the London air."
"Good to have you back too, sis." He says smiling as they all ate the food together as a family.
Once the night has grown late, the siblings decide to have a movie night of their own. He is tucked in within the blanket of the couch but his thoughts still follows the customer from earlier, he hoped his thesis went well. And their conversation keeps on replaying in mind.
"earth to apollo!" His thoughts were interrupted by Maria looking worried and a grinning Ariadne.
"you okay?" Maria asks softly, her hand squeezing his shoulder a little.
He quietly sighs, "you guys can see right through me huh?"
"of course, one of us got telepathic powers, and i literally live with you in the womb. So, we do." Ari says, nudging him a little.
Atlas observes his little brother for a moment before chuckling, "somebody's got quite a new infatuation huh?"
The younger one feels his cheeks redden, as the girls break into laughter. "Oh my god, you are crushing on someone!"
"I am not!" "You are so, who is this new fantasy man of yours huh? Didn't Rooney from last month supposed to be a good lesson mister?"
Apollo feels his cheeks redden, as Maria just gives him a quick squeeze. Despite everything, he knew his twin came from a kind spot, its just what they did. The banter.
"Okay fine, there's...this guy. He literally knows one of the rarest greek myths and he was so cute!" He exclaims excitedly and sighs, remembering their little encounter.
"and what's the myth about?" Maria voices squeak in between the conversation, all of the siblings are filled with curiosity at this point.
"Deucalion and Pyrrha!"
Maria's eyebrows perk in intrigue, "i remember that one, dad mentioned it years ago."
Apollo nods excitedly at that, "I mean, maybe he's one of the many that knew...but, something about him. I feel like I can burst into song right now."
Atlas just shakes his head at that, as Ari rolls her eyes at the enthusiasm.
"Well, did you even try to get his number?" The twin quips in curiosity, before apollo shakes his head.
"I..well, I didn't think it through and panicked, so I didn't."
Atlas pats his back at that, "hey, maybe one day; you'll meet him again. All that fate and stuff happened to me and Jaime, maybe another miracle can happen to you too."
Maria pushes a strand of her hair before smiling, agreeing what Atlas is saying. Ari seems to be reluctant to agree, "Do you really think the guy's legit? What if its just another repeat Rooney."
At the mention of the cursed name, he shives slightly.
"Rooney was straight up, forgive my language. An arsehole." Maria agrees, as the guy in Apollo's past used him most than actually loving him.
"I believe this time would be different...it feels, different." He whispers slightly optimistic in his voice at that. He didn't know what to feel, since he's not a mind reader, or a future reader unlike his sister. But, something about this new guy, screams much better than Rooney ever would be.
Ari stares at him a moment, and knows how he always be. The optimism in the little guy never died. "Fine, I'll wish as well for the mystery guy to return. And also, what was his name?"
"Ruslan." He announces to the rest and sighs, maybe it can be something or nothing. But, he'll never know if he never tries.
And then, it happened. Fate was written within them once more, when he sees his familiar form in between the shelves of the bookstore. This is a sign, a sign of something bigger and better.
a/n: (probably) final fic for the year, happy holidays everyone. π
well a year ago, who would've thought that there's a new addition to their circle, but as it reaches christmas eve, maia sits by the couch with a small bundle in her arms, atlas while kent is prepping their mini christmas tree.
βdo we need more ornaments?" She asks giving somewhat of a helpful hand, as she rocks the little boy gently in her arms.
"no, I don't think so." he adds as they gaze upon the decorations, it's simple but it's theirs.
and at the sound of Kent's voice, atlas begins to coo for his daddy. The sound of it alone makes her smile, "hey, someone misses his dad."
Kent places the boxes aside and hold atlas gently, despite almost being 1 year old; he still feels the fragility and often gets nervous when he was asked to hold him. he never told anybody that, but the smile that atlas gave him was enough to calm his nerves down.
"hey kiddo." he whispers gently and rocks the little guy in his arms gently. Atlas opens his eyes gently and coos happily at the sight of his dad, making Kent smiles too. The crooked teeth of his visible to the peripheral vision, and those who know - that's when you made the kent zarneki smile.
-
"anyone called for uncle nick and gray, because we got presents from the north pole!" The one and only nick wiseman begins to shrike as she sighs.
"hey nick-nack." She says as she pulls nick into an embrace. "You're all early, we're supposed to meet at mom and dad's tomorrow no?"
Nick nods at the statement, "well, I'm playing Santa and I wanted to surprise my nephew. Right gray?"
The nudge nick gives to gray as he gives a polite smile pulling Maia into a hug. "Merry Christmas eve maia."
"thanks gray, forgive my brother for dragging you into his ideas." She adds with a playful smile, as gray just shrugs.
"so, where's the little guy?" Nick asks excitedly, wanting to see his nephew. he already planned in advance all the cooking lessons, and everything he wanted to teach atlas as he grows up and despite her chuckle hearing those, she wouldn't have it any other way.
And on cue, Kent steps into the room with atlas in his arms. A small smile before nick and gray coos over the child, "do you wanna hold him?"
gray shakes his head at that before nick tried to convince him, "hey, it's okay, you can do it. C'mon, hold out your arms."
And gray did as told, and atlas is safely tucked against the arms of Grayson black. "See, you can do it." Nick says in a positive light, smiling.
Kent and maia stands back and then, watches as the two of them coos over atlas.
"atlas already got everyone wrapped around his finger, he's gonna steal Christmas this year." She says with a smile, as she lays her head against his shoulder feeling his arms wrapped over her waist.
"it's his first Christmas out of many, he's gonna steal the show." He says straight to the point and there's truth in them, as she watches how gray and Nick is interacting with him, made her heart flutter with gentleness and love.
Her eyes fall onto gray and nick together, as maia looks at him. "Well, it's gonna be one hell of a Christmas party then."
Kent chuckles, the sound feels like symphony to her in agreement. It's gonna be one hella of a Christmas party tomorrow, and she can't wait.
-
The next day; the day of the christmas dinner.
"do we really have to wear it?" Kent asks quietly, staring at the matching sweaters that's splattered over their bed.
"it's Christmas, kenzie." Maia says softly as atlas is sleeping quietly in his baby bed.
She begins to slip into the sweaters, as Kent just watches; both intrigue and amusement.
"see, proper christmas energy." She poses and then passes him the sweater.
Kent just cocks an eyebrow his way, a protest of some sort. But, deep down he knows he'll wear it. He just likes seeing her try.
"or do you want me to put it on for you, love?" She proposes which cause him to smirk at the suggestion. He just nods, as Maia returns the gesture with a smile.
She pulls off Kent's black t-shirt off and toss it to the side, her eyes trying to not stare at his chest. But, failed anyways; which brings out a chuckle from him. Her hands slowly gesture over her chest, slightly; enjoying the view. The quietness drown over them, as the slight intimacy was captured between them. It's Christmas, she shouldn't be thinking of unholy thoughts this early morning - but, she's human. She feels his hand tips her chin upwards, as she stares into his eyes.
The smile he has can be compared to a Cheshire cat, knowing and playful. He closes the gap between them, as their lips met. Every kisses that Kent gives, it wasn't the sloppy kind. But it ranges from the feeling of melting into a puddle to the feeling of wanting to be [redacted].
Their tongues battle slightly from the kiss, until she pulls away remembering their itinerary for the day. "We have to go to my parents, love."
Kent cradles her face gently in his hold and chuckles, "I know." But neither of them move truly, and that's the thing. They can be fashionably late and they wouldn't mind.
She breaks into a chuckle at that, and puts his sweater on. "Keep the sweater on, and you might get to redeem your gift."
And that is enough for him to nod in obedience. As Maia grins at his behavior, the sound of small cries break their moment.
"our little boy has awaken, let's get him ready for his first Christmas." The words bring a new excitement, it's atlas's first Christmas with the family too.

Nick's home has become the venue for the Christmas dinner, as everyone has arrived. The place is decorated with fake snow, and a large Christmas tree with presents surrounding it. The smell of food filled the place and chatter, everyone is prepared for the festivities.
"the party has arrived!" Maia says excitedly as the family was greeted by the rest. Kent follows behind with bags of gifts ready, which they wrapped beforehand. Greetings were exchanged while atlas has been kidnapped by the Wiseman's family members.
John is holding his grandchild with a wide smile, blowing raspberries. Hope is sitting by the side, in awe at the little baby. Gray is there chatting quietly with Daphne by the corner, his arm wraps gently over Daphne's waist a subtle move. Maia notices the matching sweaters and the sight of it make her smile, a reindeer matching ones. Adorable.
Nick is still prepping the food, as she squeezes into the kitchen. Kent is talking to the phone with Ferro, who's back at his mom's home, but promises to be back by new year to celebrate it together.
"need any help, nick-nack?" She muses with a smile as she glances at the trays of food.
"ah, button. Can you help me with the dessert?"
She nods in command and helps to pour the cream on top of the cake, as it ends up spectacular. "Done, as always."
Nick returns with a smile, as he takes off his apron. "Where's the little guy?"
"no, hello and how are you my amazing little sister?"
He chuckles and then holds her hands up, "fine, so how is my amazing little sister?"
That brings a smile to her face, "she's doing good, mother duties and graduation. It's a hassle, but..I'm feeling good."
Nicholas observes her sister for a moment and then nods. The voices out there in glee chatting and catching up, as the kitchen is contrasting.
"I know..it's been a difficult year button. But, I'm always proud of you, for everything. I know I told you this a lot, and well I'll tell you until the end of time if I could. I'm happy to see you glow again." Nick says quietly, and then turns to look at her.
Maia tries to hold back her tears by groaning instead, "nick..don't make me cry on Christmas!"
He breaks into laughter, and then raises his hands up. "That's my job since you were born, button. I got the extra cookies to cheer you up, and I can pack some specially for you and Kent later if you want?"
She gives him a smile at that, and hugs him. "Thank you, nick-nack."
Nick returns the hug too, "anytime."
And they both returned back to the living room, as dinner has commence.
-
Kent and Maia took turns in holding Atlas as dinner begins, and fortunately, the little guy loves the attention. Everyone keeps giving atlas funny faces and love the whole day, making him feel welcome.
Maia watches for a moment as Kent holds atlas in his arms gently, making funny faces. She fell in love with him much much harder, and it's impossible not to fall in love with him at this very moment. She takes a sip of her glass of wine before taking a picture of them both together, it definitely will make it's way to the Christmas dump of the year.
"now, dessert courtesy of miss maia wiseman." Nick announced her name as all eyes on her, the cake was presented and everyone begins to dig in.
"and now..presents!" Nick says once more as everyone get their own slice.
-
After unwrapping it, the record holder of the most presents fall upon the main character of the dinner. Atlas himself, a variety of toys, books, clothes, and many baby stuff were given to him.
"I have a special gift for my nephew!" Nick announces excitedly as he brings a box to the pair, Kent holds atlas gently in his grasp as Maia unbox it. It's a soft kitchen set.
Maia chuckles at the sight of it, "is this early training for him to he a chef, nick-nack?"
"indeed it is, he'll grow up to be my assistant in the kitchen. A fellow family member of mine must be splendid at the kitchen." Nick smiles proudly at his own words, as Maia rolls her eyes earning a bunch of laughter in the room.
"maia is quite a cook, Nicholas." John pipes in between the conversation.
"dad..she almost destroyed my kitchen." Nick retorts as Maia hides herself behind the couch pillows, while Kent just chuckles. He remembers Maia telling him that.
"dad.. nick..don't embarrassed me on Christmas please?" She groans as the rest laughs in amusement.
"that's Christmas in the Wiseman's for you." Nick winks before pulling her into a hug.
She turns to look outside the window, snow on Christmas day. Perfect. Everyone's attention fall upon the view.
"Merry Christmas everyone." John says in enthusiasm, as Maia smiles in awe at the sight of it. Everyone else is hugging each other, she saw from the corner of her eye; gray, daphne, Sally and Kent in conversation, smiles together.
She pulls away from Nick and hugs the girls, their bond. The year comes to an end, and she's grateful for this year. The hardest but..she got everyone she needed.
They said their final goodbyes for the night, before stuffing the gifts in Kent's mustang. And they finally went home.
-
Baby atlas slept on the way home, as she rests her head against Kent's shoulder on the way home. The intimacy feels familiar, but this time around there's a new addition in their small family.
As they arrived, he helped her out of the car before carrying the gifts for them all. It was filled from everyone, from her mom and dad, nick, gray and daphne together, sally. but the star of the day receive the most gifts.
She carries atlas and place him in his baby cot and turns in the baby monitor before returning back to help Kent with the rest of the presents. As everything is done and dusted, the snow thankfully is not too heavy on the road. They manage to arrive safe and sound.
She plops herself against the couch of their home, and sighs. "That was a fun dinner, don't you think?"
Kent takes a seat beside her and nods, "it's quite a Christmas."
She heard the solemn tone in his words, and then takes his hand giving it a squeeze. Christmas can be hard for some families, and she hopes her family and friends can give him the comfort of a good Christmas to him.
His gaze softens at her hold, and when words failed them both. The actions speaks louder, thousand times louder; when he leans closer, his lips land against her forehead pulling her close.
"we did it, together as a family." She whispered softly and then caress his face gently. And the word family feels..new to him, a foreign concept. One where he wasn't expected to be perfect, to fit a certain narrative. And this Christmas was just that, a whole lot of love that he couldn't express properly through his words, but deep down his heart is full. She always calls him a part of her family, and her parents already accepted him as their family too. And with atlas, they're definitely a new family.
He'll try his best to keep his family protected in his own way, love and cherished. As she pulls away, they we're greeted by enthusiastic shih tzus.
"oh! I forgot my present for our little furry kiddos. Both of you girls aren't forgotten." Maia says excitedly pulling a box passing it to Kenzie.
He opens it to reveal a bunch of doggie sweaters custom made. "It will boost their petpix account! They almost reached 500 followers no?"
And that's it - the little things. As his love for her grows more and more everyday. The pups jump excitedly and licks maia's cheeks in excitement, despite not understanding of the situation. He smiles, crooked teeth and all on display for them. This is...what Christmas is all about to him, he got a new meaning to this. Something to look forward to.
"Kenzie?" She calls our for him.
His attention swift's back to her, "you alright? You seemed to be out of the loop tonight, love."
He squeezes her hands gently and kisses her knuckles. The words, when you know..you'll know hits different now. Because he knows now. But he changes the topic right away, "I kept the sweater on, what's my gift?"
Her cheeks grow red at that, and then she smiles. "Indeed you have."
She stares at the baby monitor, and atlas is sound asleep. Her enthusiasm betrays her, as she pulls his hand as they disappear to their room for the night to fulfill her promise, apparently one of their many many festivities of the day.
-
"merry Christmas kenzie." She whispers lovingly before her eyes begin to close, slumber land calls for her.
As he holds her close his lips hover over her forehead, everything feels perfect for their first family Christmas.
It was indeed merry.
THE END.

they were seated on nosebleeds, further away from the stage due to the last minute tickets they found. and maia with a hidden fear of heights, is holding onto Kent's hand most of the time.
However, by the time the show begins she's better. She coped, sing and danced happily with him. And now, after a while - it's surprise song o'clock.
"it's time!" She exclaims excitedly as she watches Taylor begins to start the section.
And 'our song' begins to play as she claps excitedly, she have been playing this song for a while in Kent's mustang. She smiles as she glance over him who sings along also, despite not as enthusiastic, but she appreciates the effort either way.
After the first song played, she waited in anticipation. Earlier today, on the car ride to the stadium.
-
Kent is driving smoothly, as they say in traffic for a while to find a good spot to park. She turns up the radio, and this time; it played one of the familiar kaia tunes, it's their song, you are in love.
"okay, if taylor ever played this song as a surprise song. I think I might cry or maybe do an impulsive thing like get a tattoo or something." She says as she sings along, while Kenzie joining in too.
At this point, Kent already knows the lyrics and the song fully. When they first begin to get together, she introduces this song to him and it's their song. Since then, it become a vital part in their life, well their love-life. Even the pups are familiar with it, when they played it around the house. She would listen to him hum it around the house, and her lips perked up in interest and amusement and well, love as well.
As they arrived at the stadium, both of them grab an immediate lunch in the car. Some good soul food before a concert, an energy booster before the concert starts. A few hours later, they're both already in the stadium; very high above.
Nosebleeds are what they could afford at the very last minute, and it feels like watching a sea of emotion. She has quite.. an anxious feeling towards height.
"okay, the first time being on nosebleeds - I didn't realize it'll too high from the videos." She tries to chuckle to cover up her nerves.
Kent immediately takes her hand, giving them three squeezes but didn't pull away too. As her anxiousness has worn down a little, waiting in their seats together. And then it happened, the countdown and anticipation filled the stadium, as maia prepares herself in every way she could. She knew what to expect, they have went the first time...and this time, should not be that different. But, the energy is new. She loves it, as the music begin and she sings as loud as she could with Kent joining beside her. He didn't scream the songs like her, but he joins in like a good sport. Speaking of good sports, before their first concert; she made him a binder of lyrics and educate him about the tour, despite the eyebrow raises and the amused smile on his face. He was indeed a good sport, and the efforts are seen here when he sings along as well in his own comforting way. His eyes does land on her most of the time, a small Kent-ese smiles occurred in happiness seeing Maia like this, alive and free.
-
The hours goes by quickly, and the moment they have waiting for has arrived or known as the surprise song hours. She has been manifesting it since their first show, and now...it's time. After 'our song' played, the anticipation arises as the piano notes filled her eardrums, trying to recognize the tune. She turns to look at Kent, trying to decipher it until... the first lyric was sung.
One look, dark room.
And that was enough to bring her into an emotional spiral, as she sings along with Kent. Having their song to be heard live was something she never expected, but she hoped that it could be a reality someday, somehow and they got it. Their song is playing, as she feels her eyes begin to water at the notes and the lyrics. She wraps her arms around Kent, as they both sing; needing something to hold onto at least.
The chorus begins to hit them both along with the echo that Taylor and the rest of the crowd is singing, however in the moment it feels like they are singing to each other within the comfort of their own home together. The familiar tune that has become theirs, it feels surreal to her.
You can hear it in the silence, silence, you
You can feel it on the way home, way home, you
You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You are in love, true love.
She's definitely in love, very much so with the person she is with today. And she could not have this moment tonight if it weren't for him (and ferro as well, for the query searching help to find good tickets.) As the song reach its final chorus, she is singing it with the rest of the crowd, as Kent plays the boyfriend duty capturing everything including a tear stricken maia in the crowd.
The applause brings her back to reality. A new memory have been engraved in her mind with the love of her life. She turns to face him, despite the darkness and the only light was the glow of their entry bracelets lighting up within the beat of the new song, she could not take her eyes off of him - a smile, as she pulls him close. Her arms wrapped around him, into an embrace as she whispers.
"Thank you for this." The words feels small, yet it hold such a meaning as Kent returns the gesture wiping the tears away with his thumb gently. He didn't say much, yet she knows in those silence; there's a lot of love within it for her in his own way. And she felt it, the love within his actions as he holds her close throughout the final set of the concert, singing and humming together against the rest of the crowd.
The night ends beautifully, as this adventure can be written in the books for one maia wiseman and kent himself. It was indeed a good memory together, that's compiled with the rest of their moments together. just them.
everything has changed. nyla/seven (implied) . infamous.
"Why didn't I stop him from leaving...?" She says to herself more, as she stares into her reflection in the mirror. Everyone has left, the vote ended, and now she's alone. Somewhere trapped within her mind, her lonesome personnel.
The room was small enough, for both of them to crammed up all those memories into little spaces keeping it alive.
She turns the faucet on, splashing water on her face. The sight of herself in the mirror made her sigh, the result of the emotional turmoil from today. Her eyes brimmed with red, the aftermath of the tears after he left.
Nyla Jackson wasn't taught to be a crier, she was told to toughen up. She did, she was - and until now, she was strong enough. She shouldn't even cry, but when it happened; she faltered. She couldn't believe how her emotions cause her to weaken - seven was partially responsible for that, in a good way. He made her think that emotions were good, it was okay, and she was okay for expressing them. And for the longest time, she believed it too, she poured it upon the many little moments of music and life they once shared together. She turns to face the room again; everything in her room has a little trace of him. He was everywhere, Seven Lawless were tattooed in this kaleidoscope of memories in this room.
"I'm sorry, seven." She says quietly to herself, she couldn't reason on know what she was sorry for. I'm sorry that I didn't fight harder for you, I did. I tried, but...
She shakes her head, and the thought disappears instantly as she makes her way onto the bed. The dark night that used to be accompanied by his hums and laughter in the little room, is now silenced. The contrast made her heartache, it felt too real. The pain inside of her, as she find one of his shirts that were laying, somehow made a home within her room. She picks it up, puts it on, and hugs her body close. Letting the tears fall from her eyes into her ears, as she stares upward. Hoping this was all a nightmare, and tomorrow; he'll come back and stay. the band will stay together, and everything will be fine.
But, it's not true.
Everything has changed, and she couldn't escape it as much as she tried to.

"so, since james is getting married; or in other words. Eloping immediately after, want to be my plus one for the day?" Bobby said in hushed tones, as Lya gives him an eye. A side eye presumably.
"we got projects, Robert."
"and that's what the caffeine is for, angel." He pokes her, earning a lazy smile his way.
"well, let me finish this first. And then, I'll think about it." She places a kiss on his cheek, as Bobby sighs joining in with also a smile. The things that she made him do
-
"Red, or Blue?" Lya says to herself, looking at the mirror as Haley makes her observation.
"You're going to a date, and you're not picking the red one?" Lena raises a teasing eyebrow, as Lya covers the embarrassment on her face.
"The red one is specifically for, special events."
Lena stood in front of the mirror beside her, placing the dress her way.
"It's the perfect one, no objections Lya. And, he's gonna love it too." She winks back to her, as Lya smiles changing into the dress. Lena stood by the door, as it was knocked by none other than Robert marks himself.
"Hey, is Lya around?"
"Lya, your date has arrived." She yells in a sing-song tone, as she disappear from the door, revealing a dolled up Lya Toriezze in front of his eyes.
His eyes widen in both awe and surprised, and there's a hint of...need wrapped in it making her blush at the gaze alone.
"hi Bobby." She said amidst the blush crept on her face.
"angel, ready to go?" She nods taking his hand, before leaving the place, heading to their destination.
-
He drives them to the destination stated within the invite, James is one of the elites apparently. And their destination, is somewhat a mansion, that was captured from the movies. It brought an awe from Lya herself, as bobby whistles at the sight.
"no wonder, the elopement was accidental. He must've paid a lot." Bobby whispers as they were greeted by man in suits, offering a cocktail as they walk in.
"bobby, mate! The party is about to get started, shall we?" One of his mates called them both, as he takes her hand and lead them forward.
They both step into the room, where the ceremony will be held. Everyone is already, seated, as they make their way to any empty ones. Lya holding into his hand, there's a fear that she'll be lose or separated among the crowds. He notice the tense hold, and he turn to face her - eyes staring her way, a sign to calm her down.
She takes a deep breath, and let's it go. She's okay now, as he hasn't let go of her hand while the ceremony begins. As the music play, he scoots forward, whispering something to her ear, making her shiver somewhat at the tone.
"You look very beautiful in this angel. Red suits you well." He bits his lip at the comment, before Lya slaps his shoulder playfully to focus upon the ceremony ahead. He grins, before joining their hands together listening and observing to his dear friend, and close mates finally tied the knot, despite the elopement. The family wanted to it to be an official ceremony, and when there's money? There's always a will. He thought, as the couple finally says I do.
Bobby turns to look at Lya, and at the same time; she did it too. Their gazes met at the sound pronunciation of husband and wife, as the celebration erupted pulling them both out of the locked gaze. He shakes his head, at the idea; as they both stood up to clap for the couple.
Lya founds herself placing her head on the side of his shoulder, enjoying the sound of joy, happiness, celebration. She loves being apart of a happy memory, and despite not knowing these people much. She can feel the excitement and happiness from it all, and she turns to face bobby who smiles her way. He sees the smile on her face, it's somewhat like dancing with the sunlight - that he couldn't help but smile, forgetting anything else.
-
They both departed from the ceremony, leading to the next main event. The reception, as James was very much known to be old money; it does scream within the theme. The classical old money theme was the focus of the night, as everyone begins to join in the festivities.
"oh, wow. This feels like stepping into a movie." Lya gawk excitedly, as bobby joins in. Following her lead, somehow finds her adorable while she's curious.
"let's get the party started, angel." He leads her forward, where they were met with a waiter; helping to pass the drinks their way.
"a cocktail or a mocktail miss?"
"cocktails for the both of us, sir." Bobby answered, as Lya smiles at his antiques. She heard stories about him being trouble, and he's far from that to her.
The waiter passed them both a glass, as the microphone whirls to life.
"Everybody welcome for the first time, Mr. And Mr.s Leonardi." The crowd breaks into an applause, as both the bride and groom walks in with a major outfit change, as Lya claps excitedly at the scene; while bobby wraps his hands around her waist, holding her there, smiling towards the married couple.
He didn't say a word, but; he stares at her for a second long. Wondering of this future, it's too early to tell; but... Before he could continue the thought, one of his mates make their way to them.
"bobby, it's good to see you here. And this is..?"
"She's my date, Lya. Lya, meet Ron; a dear old friend of mine from a state away." Lya takes her hand out to him, as the man smiles to her.
"It's lovely to meet you, Lya. Hopefully Bobby hasn't bore you yet with his details and stories, which he tends to entertain the rest of us most of the time."
"It's alright, he did promise to behave tonight. So, I think we'll be okay. And it's nice to meet you too, Ron." She said, as Ron tips his fedora her way, before disappearing.
-
He turns to face her, before raising an eyebrow.
"when did I promise to behave, miss toriezze?" His voice a bit huskier, somewhat a tease to her. She knows it too well
"You didn't, but; since we will be enjoying the night. Can you promise me to behave, Mr. Robert Marks?" She tends to use his full name in particular moments, and he doesn't admit on how much he likes how it tips of her tongue, and the way she says it.
"I promise. However, we got to seal it with something."
"and what will that be?" She knows where this is going, but it's really fun to irk him.
"How about a kiss?"
"Wouldn't that be scandalous around all these people?" She says dramatically, as bobby pull her close. An inch away, before her lips found his in the midst of the crowd, a promise sealed with a kiss, making her weak in the legs as it always have been.
"only scandalous for us, angel." He says, as they both depart to explore the area.
-
And so far, he's been keeping the promise. As they both walk hand in hand together, meeting people, witnessing the first dance, and had a little too much to drink, as they sat down on their assigned table. Both, a tipsy Lya and Bobby, with her head against his shoulders, somehow smiling with the music playing in the back.
"Another one miss?"
"Don't mind if I do, sir." She takes the glass, and fortunately it's another mocktail instead of the first three glasses.
Bobby takes the glass as soon as she's done putting it to the side. Before cupping her face in his hands, holding her gaze.
"stop looking at me like that, bobby." She says drunkenly, as he chuckles.
"I'm just staring at the most beautiful woman in the room, angel." A little bit tipsy bobby replies, as Lya manages to hide her face away from him. Not used to all of these, but he pulls her closer, forehead touching as the music begins to play a mellow tone.
The mellow tone, begins to urge everyone to step into the dance floor. As they both sat there, forehead to forehead. Letting the moment stop just for a second, before he looks at her again, kissing the side of her mouth. Before, pulling her upright.
"sir, would you honor me a dance tonight under the stars?" A drunken Lya let's out a laugh, as she pulls him to the dance floor without hearing his response. But the smile on his face, the admiration on his face says a thousand words.
She tries to lead the dance, as Bobby takes her hand.
"you're drunk right now angel, let me lead you." He says charmingly, earning a flutter of butterflies in the pit of her stomach, as they both dance along with the other couples around them. The moon reflects it light under them; as he twirls her around; making her smile widely enough that he believes she could summon the sun.
"I'm not drunk, I'm fairly sober bobby." She argues, as he continue to leads them in circles. However, it wasn't the best due to them being quite inexperienced, but it did brought up a few laughter from them.
After a while, they finally got the hang of it; as Lya went quiet immediately after.
"angel?"
She looks up to him, and send a small smile his way.
"you gone quiet, everything okay?"
"I think..my adrenaline have fallen and, I'm realizing how much I'll be throwing up in the morning. Lena is going to kill me." She replies, as Bobby shakes his head; somehow amused by it all.
"Lena is not here right now, we got the whole place to ourselves. It's freedom. " He says, somewhat pleading earning a soft look from Lya herself before she nods, pulling him close, as the music continues. Something about the night, making her wanted it to never end.
-
As everyone else disperse, they both join in to leave as the festivities comes to an end. Bobby has undo his jacket, placing it over lya's shoulders; as they both decided to make another pit stop. Requested by Lya herself, at the hour of 3:30 a.m. The city lakeside, where the benches are empty during this hour. He obliges due to his own curiosity, and he admits; he doesn't want the night to end as well.
They took a seat, facing the water - with them sobering up, the sound of the currents is clear. Lya runs ahead, basking in the peacefulness with the jacket still wrapped over her shoulders. Bobby joins in, with his standing behind; his eyes lands on the light house at the other side, a curious glint fill his gaze.
"Robert?"
"hm?"
"Have you ever fallen in love before?" The question falls upon her lips, she's somewhat not that tipsy anymore; but she's been thinking about it ever since they left.
"love?" She nods at the confirmation before he begins to stare into the sea, somewhat thinking deeply.
He crosses his arms, before turning to face her again. The tight features of his face, soften at her; at the sight of her only.
"Yes, I think so. And what about you?" He asks immediately, wondering about it too. And also, why the sudden question being brought up.
She went quiet, looking at the dark ocean ahead. She's aware she's in a middle, of being a dreamy drunk or a sober realist. But, she decides for the former.
"I've always known about love from my dad, and he always told me we could fall in love once. And once is enough with the right person.." she pauses, before looking at him. The quietness could be broke with a pin dropping, as she steps forward.
"And..I think I've found it. The love, he used to tell me about. And, I think I'm very much in love with this person." She whispers the final part, the confession left her lips filling into his eardrums, making his solid heart melt with the confession.
"Do you think I'll meet the person you're talking about, angel?" He question, somehow there's a linger of hope lace upon his gritty voice.
He turns to face her, as the lighthouse shines their way. They both went quiet, before she leans forward, with the jacket still intact over her shoulders as place a kiss on the side of his lip. The gesture earns a shudder by the man himself, before he takes her hands.
"you didn't answer my question, angel."
"someday you'll know, because you always know how to get it out of me, Robert." She says, as she begins to make a run for it, with her heels being discarded, the free pathway, and the wind flowing earns a wide grin from Bobby himself. Before he joins in the fun, as two innocent souls trying to find their way to life, something about it brings a new profound meaning to her. This moment, maybe it's the beginning of her extraordinary life, and as she looks his way. Bobby's gaze met with hers, and she feels like; she could give him her heart, and trust him with it.
-
Her thoughts being interrupted by a reverie of one Robert marks, who's clutching her heels in his hands. The grin as wide as she could imagine, as the time marks five in the morning, and the sun is about to rise in an hour. Yet, they are still her. His tie has been undone, with a few buttons being unbuttoned, while Lya has let her hair down, walking barefoot side by side.
"You're thinking there, I presume?"
"What else one could do?"
"You really got splendid company here, and yet you're thinking. At least, I hope it's about me?" He jokes as Lya let's out a laugh, amused by the idea and the confidence he has.
"Maybe."
"That's good enough for me." The smug smile begins to form in his face, as Lya shoves him playfully and chuckles too.
-
She stops in her tracks, as she took out something from her pocket. The memory from the night was blurred in between the drinks, but the thick polaroid proof that both of them are indeed sober, and well.
"I think James would be pissed, would he?" She gestures at the polaroid, which was supposed to be apart of coordinated guest book, but Bobby shakes his head.
"I don't think the man would even notice, but...more for us, then." He takes the polaroid in hand, and the hint of smile at the sight of it; at the sight of them.
She's sitting on his lap, whispering something he couldn't remember. And the camera paused at the exact same time, where they both erupt into fit of giggles he assumer; and by the way he's holding her. It feels like she fits well with him, and the memory stays in the back of his mind.
"a momento of our extravagant date of the day. You're not bored yet, aren't you angel?"
"I don't think I ever will." She confessed once again, her blushy cheeks made him warm inside. Somehow, the feeling he wants to capture it forever, as they both said farewell to the pier, and back to their reality. Hand-in-hand, together, something that they didn't see coming, but it's too good to let the moment go.
And, it's one of the nights; that they will remember it all too well. The first blossoming start of heaven in the form of human connections.
THE END.
