She wakes in the middle of the night with a start. There are a lot of people feeling a lot of different things right now and it’s taking its toll on her. She feels like she’s buzzing and almost has tunnel vision. She quietly gets out of bed to not wake her roommate, and grabs the pillow and comforter off the bed. She needs some air.
It seems all versions of Tony Stark are creatures of habit. Because upon looking in a third floor linen closet she finds exactly what she’s looking for. There’s a wet bar in the main kitchen of the mansion but her father never kept his good stuff there. No. That was always hidden in the third floor linen closet behind various discarded wires and forgotten cleaning products. She grabs a bottle that’s mostly full and then makes her way outside.
Her skin itches with the emotions of the other occupants. Some are terrified, others sad...the worst are the ones who feel numb though. She can feel what everyone is feeling, the catch is that they can feel her too. Only if they’re paying attention. The people in tune with it could feel her leave if they wanted. Likely her siblings. Definitely Gabriel, because of their physical relationship. Maybe even Nikolai if he had been thinking of her in that moment.
It’s February in New York. So...wet. She finds a mostly dry spot out in the mansion courtyard and wraps up in the comforter, takes a long drink, and then hides her head and covers her ears with the pillow. She’s trying to block out the “noise”. Not that it’s actual noise but...the thoughts and feelings and intentions of everyone in the mansion. Maybe she’ll be able to sleep out here.
