Sometimes someone is just a dog, in a literal sense, as species. Not a human who leans into dog aesthetics because they feel alienated from binary genders due to trauma.

Sometimes someone just actually lacks gender or has an alien gender. And they're not just a man or a woman but in a way that's especially complex and nuanced.

“but there’s no systematic oppression against alterhumans!” See but there is. It’s saneism. Saneism may not outwardly appear to target alterhumans but can you see how it does? Can you see how alterhumans are consistently labeled as “crazy”, “delusional”, even dangerous?

( for context, this happened a while ago and i am no longer friends with this person for a plethora of reasons )

i was talking to my friend ( she / they ) about how i get dysphoria from being transmasc, and i also get dysphoria from being an alterhuman, and that they're often hard to differentiate since they present in similar ways ( i get gender dysphoria from not having enough body / facial hair but also nonhuman dysphoria as i don't have fur, things like that ) and they instantly started saying that i must be faking being transmasc then.

i asked her why and she said " you cant be alterhuman and transmasc, that's not how it works. you saying your dysphoria is similar is proof of that. " so, i was really confused and said " but you're trans too ?? and you're also a therian ?? " to which they replied " but i'm not transmasc. that's the problem. you're transmasc. "

after a small back and fourth of us debating on whether i'm actually an alterhuman or not, she said " well you still look like a cunt so you are just a cunt. bitchy theyfabs like you just want to invade the alterhuman community when you should know by now that you aren't welcome. "

there was more that was said but i cant write it because uh. slurs that neither of us could reclaim were used ( by them ). but i was genuinely just shocked that she was so comfortable saying that to me.
