About #nationaldragthrillers pt/2 . "I didn't know you could sing!" Is something I hear -nearly- every time I sing, and it always makes me happy. . I don't live sing very often on stage for drag because of 2 reasons: - I love being able to keep it a secret talent for nights like NDT - I was told Drag entertainers shouldn't sing. They're here to lipsync...which is silly. But it made me really want to hide part of what I always wanted to do on stage, which is why my "nightmare talent" was me losing my voice. . I chose to not sing often out of fear of more rejection from this community due to an afab voice coming out of my body, which you think might not effect your time as a host/singer but it does in DRAG, and it is a GRAND fear of mine to lose my voice. . So I sang "Creep" but the @pmjofficial version, and in belting, my "vocal chords ripped" and the song ended in whispers. . This all wraps in with never wanting LGBT+ voices to end in whispers as well.
