The Big Bad Wolf | Sam

Armand needed a break from the Chateau. He needed time away from the hustle and bustle of everything to let himself regain a bit of his own control. The past couple of years had been a lot of excitement. What with Lestat taking over the Core and then the Core becoming a being all his own. Marius getting abducted by lunatic ancients. It was all so - chaotic. And now Marius was actually catering to the Replimoid king himself. He'd had to get away. What better place to go than Trinity Gate? He'd only brought one thing with him from the Chateau.
A box. A velvet lined box with an egg inside of it. He still didn't know what to make of it. But that wasn't the point of things at this point. He walked along the rooftops casually, hands tucked into his jacket pockets as he watched his prey. A drug lord. He'd been away from New York too long to have allowed someone like this to move in to the territory so close to Trinity Gate. He and his ilk would be gotten rid of this evening. He didn't want the neighborhood where his home resided to be a den for rats to fester. And so he followed the human to an apartment complex.
It was easy to track the man's mind as he entered the elevator, Armand following behind him through the lobby. He watched the numbers on top of the elevator and then made his way to the stairs. They were empty, so he was able to move freely and entered a hallway just in time to see his target enter into an apartment and shut the door. Armand smirked slowly. It was easy, of course, to break the lock, to slip into the apartment and dispose of the rats nest in record time. He took great pleasure in staging the place, leaving enough blood in each victim to make it plausible that they had bled out on the floor after a rather viciously looking knife fight. He exited through the window then, effortlessly going to the roof then dropping to an alley a few buildings over.
He then began the short trek back to Trinity Gate. However, the longer he walked, the more he got the sense that he was the one now being stalked. He remained casual, though threw out his mind in an attempt to catch the culprit. A mortal, most likely, seeing a lovely young man walking alone at night. But this being was... not human. He turned down a darkened street a few blocks from Trinity Gate, walking with purpose as if his destination were getting closer. He turned again towards one of the townhouses before he ducked down behind and moved around behind the houses and over the rooftops to try and get behind whatever it was that had been following him... he came back onto the street and frowned slightly. It was empty. Where had the creature gone...?
