I'm a sucker for pregnant-Omega Fred, that was so cute! Could we see more of his pregnancy?
âBrian, itâs important!â
Brian grimaced as he looked up from the half-scribbled lyrics of his latest song. Freddie was standing in front of him, hands on his hips, three different colour chips in his hand, his belly just peeking out from under his top.
âFreddie, itâs fine,â he tried. âWhatever colour you want to paint the nursery, it will be fine by us.â
âItâs not fine!â Freddie wailed. âOur darling needs to be loved! They need to be able to look at the walls and know that they are loved by their whole pack! How is the room supposed to make that feeling if one of the alphas doesnât even care!?â His face crumpled, and Brian felt his heart twist painfully.
They could blame it on hormones all they liked, but there was still nothing that was more painful to Brian than seeing their omega upset, and knowing he caused it.
He glanced around, in panic, but Roger and John were nowhere to be seen. Belatedly, Brian remembered theyâd gone food shopping.
If Brian was honest, he was jealous of the two younger alphas. They took to impending fatherhood like ducks to water, able to anticipate Freddieâs every whim, taking an interest in all sorts of baby things, and just generally handling everything better than poor, awkward, inept Brian, who didnât have the first clue about baby things or hormone swings. So when Freddie got a bit wild, Brian usually looked to the other two to take charge.
Well, heâd got himself into this mess, he could get himself out of it.
âFreddie, love, shh, itâs all right, Iâm sorry,â he soothed, pulling Freddie down into his lap. Freddie immediately hid his face in Brianâs neck. Smiling, Brian began to run his hand lightly over Freddieâs bump. âItâs not that I donât care, sweetness. Itâs that youâve always been the most artistic of us, the one with the best eye for colour and design. If I ask you to choose, Freddie, love, itâs because I love you and trust you to choose it right.â
âBut Bri,â Freddie said softly, âI want you to help me choose.â
Brian managed to stop his sigh. âAll right, show me the colours.â
Freddie smiled against his skin and held up the chips - two in differing shades of green and one in pale yellow.
âWhy those colours, love?â
âTheyâre neutral,â Freddie murmured. âAnd pale colours are supposed to calm. Yellow is for happiness, and green is for wisdom.â
âWell,â Brian asked reasonably, âWhy not both? Pale green for the walls, and pale yellow for the trim.â
âBri, youâre a genius!â His face lit up and Brian couldnât resist kissing him.
And then they both froze as a tiny nudge brushed against Brianâs hand.
âI think our little one thinks so too,â Freddie whispered, and Brian couldnât help the ear-splitting grin.
âItâs too quiet,â John said as soon as he and Roger walked in the door.
âYou get the stuff away, Iâll go find them,â Roger agreed. âThey better not have fucked while we were out,â he added with a mock pout as he climbed the stairs.
But the sight that greeted him in the bedroom just made him stop and smile.
Freddie was reclining back on the pillows, a soft expression on his face, his hands tenderly cradling Brianâs head; Brian was lying on his front further down, his hands bracketing Freddieâs hips, his lips millimetres from Freddieâs exposed belly, singing softly and sweetly.
Roger reached out and took Johnâs hand as he felt the younger alpha come up behind him. Johnâs lips brushed his cheek.
âTheyâre so beautiful,â he sighed happily.
Brian looked up, his face besotted.
âJohn, Rog, come and feel! The baby started kicking today.â
The two alphas rushed to the bed, carefully placing their hands where Brian directed. For a long moment, there was nothing. And then -Â
âOh my god,â Johnâs eyes widened.
âHoly shit,â Rogerâs face lit up.
âThatâs ourâŠthatâs ourâŠâ
âThatâs our little one,â Freddie purred, and let himself bask in the immediate flood of happy scent in the room.
