My face burned.

I felt the anger rising in my chest.

Why was she back?

She didn’t live here anymore. There was no need for her to return. When she had left, the house had been a wreck the next morning.

“Why are you here?”

The mouths of my parents closed. My sister’s napsack thumped down from her grasp. Her face lit up.

“Ally!”

She outstretched her arms, and pushed through my parents to greet me.

“No….Why are you here?” I stepped back and growled.

Confused, my sister stopped in her tracks. Her eyes followed my expression suspiciously.

“ I came back?” She shrugged her shoulders.“There isn’t much more to say.”

“Yes there is! You left for five years, why are you coming back now?”
