“I’d tread carefully if I was you, stranger.” Ruby stood at the head of the wolves around them. Her green eyes scanned over the red Queen. Head lifted as she allowed a small amount of curtsy her way. Anita would have told her that Queens recognize other Queens, and this one the pack had all but swarmed around was indeed a Queen she would like to know who’s side of this bloody war she was on. “You’re in wolf country now. Tell me what you seek.” 

The curse had only been broken for a few weeks, and Snow was still dealing with the aftermath that the curse had brought upon their town. She and David were together and they had their daughter back, which was what mattered most. But, there was still this disconnect that she felt. She felt like there were still so many people she had yet to talk to. One in particular she had recognized. She knew Anastasia was Ella’s stepsister, but she had never been particularly close to her. Still, as one of Ella’s close friends, she wanted to see how Anastasia was dealing with everything. She walked over to the blonde, offering a smile. “It’s Anastasia, isn’t it? You’re Ella’s stepsister. How are you doing?”

James had to hold back an eye roll. Lady Tremaine was a bit overbearing. She had been insistent on the prince meeting her daughters, but when he’d come to call earlier, her daughter Anastasia had been out. She had pleaded with him to return later, and James agreed, simply out of boredom, and a need to avoid his father latest ball. So, here he was at the Tremaine estate, preparing to meet Anastasia, whom her mother had assured him was a fine candidate for a royal. That definitely garnered an eye roll. He knew he was being set up, but it was better than being accosted by every noble his father could find.

Will had been reluctant when Anastasia had claimed she wanted to help, but Alice had been stubborn enough to let her. Still, Will didn’t like it. He didn’t like it because despite everything, Anastasia still meant everything to him. He had agreed to let her come along, but he hadn’t really said much to her. However, that particular morning was different. Alice and Cyrus had left not too long ago and wouldn’t be back for hours, and someone was riding by their camp. Eager to make it seem as though they were simply a couple in love who wanted some time alone, in hopes that whoever it was would pass them by, Will grabbed Anastasia and pressed his lips to hers.
