The movie as directed by Doug McHenry, Produced by McHenry, George Jackson, & Marilla Lane Ross, & stars Jada Pinkett Smith, Bokeem Woodbine, Treach, Eddie Griffin, Forest Whitaker, Lisa Nicole Carson, Lahmard Tate, Wayne Dehart, Suzzanne Douglas, & Bebe Drake, “Jason’s Lyric” is a Drama film & tells the story of Jason, who’s family he’s taken on the responsibility of caring for his mother & brother, Joshua, in the violent & drug-induced neighborhood of Houston’s Fifth Ward. One day he meets Lyric, who begins to have a real liking for, & pursues her, despite her dismissal of his advances at first.
