The Wolf
Cast
Alix Kubdel/Aggie Findlay as Laurette Tulane
Laurette is a ex Scottish aristocrat who is closed off from most of society. She has trust issues after years of abuse and manipulation by her mother, and felt that people only hung around her due to her family’s fortune. Eventually, she escaped from her mother’s wrath and started a new life. While working as a barmaid to make ends meet, Laurette was making her way home when she was bitten by some sort of rabid dog on two legs. She undergoes a truly painful transformation into a werewolf. Confused and angered, she ran through the city. The next morning, she wakes up in a alleyway, her clothes are a wreck and she’s got a piece of steak in her mouth. Baffled by what’s going on, she remembers that her father’s ravings about her mother having gone through something similar. She sneaks into her mom’s old house and finds diary entries that confirm what she thought were his delusions. What she doesn’t know is that Jacqueline is still lurking in the city. It’s what’s got Inspector Frederick Allen on the case, and he’s found two differing versions of the werewolf. The taller one is more lethal, killing innocent people and terrorizing the village. The smaller werewolf is quite angry, but also seems to have more morals, going after thieves and abusers. He begins following Laurette and introduces himself to her, asking for the woman’s assistance. Laurette initially declines, knowing his partners won’t be as kind and will likely lock her up. He eventually gets her to change her mind when the cops come for Laurette, and he tries his best to get them to release her. They don’t listen, but it convinces her to help him out as a showing of gratitude. Unfortunately, the coppers are dumb enough to lock Laurette up during a full moon. She transforms and heads for Trafalgar Square, where Jacqueline is on a rampage. The two werewolves have a gruesome battle, mauling eachother as Laurette tries to get people to escort the premises. Eventually, she’s pinned by her mother, who sneers in hatred as she goes for the kill. Thankfully, Frederick arrives and shoots her with a silver bullet, mortally wounding her. Laurette is recognized by various folks in the city as having saved their lives, and thank her. Others still see the werewolf as a freak and want her out of the place. She ends up heading back to Scotland and buys a pub, using her mother’s money to fund it. It’s been a few years, and the pub is close to being shut down. One day, a mysterious woman with bandages around her face comes in. The woman says that she’s been looking for Laurette for awhile. Laurette states that she’s not interested in heroics anymore. The woman unwraps her bandages to reveal she’s completely invisible. She introduces herself as Jenny, and merely states that she is part of a group of monsters that can not only save her establishment, but give her a place to live where she can be respected and cared for, regardless of what she looks like. Mostly doing it for the financial benefits (and because she secretly has wanted to be part of a loving family for awhile) Laurette agrees.
Ok so fun fact about this one. Aggie plays Laurette's human form while Alix plays the wolf form (since she's actually a werewolf). Margarette Finster plays Jacqueline's human form while Alix's mom Selma plays her wolf form. Beck King plays the inspector, which I thought was a fitting role. Thanks to Weeby for helping out with the first draft of this story. Please lemme know your thoughts and your headcanons in the reblogs and replies as this took a lot of time. @booksrbetterthanpeople @msweebyness @nerdy-chocomallow
