Following Alil: Sacred Items/Colours
I have been worshipping* Alil for several months now, and I have been thinking about talking more explicitly about what I do in my worship.
One of the things it’s important to know about when working with/worshipping a diety are sacred objects, colors, etc. This is all from my own experience, of course, and if you have had different experiences, please share! I’d love to hear from you.
So far, in my practice, I have found that there are three main colours associated with Him. These are:
-Yellow, representing joy, hope, and happiness
-Green, representing growth and recovery.
-Blue, representing calm, healing, and change.
Alil appreciates compassion and gentleness, but He also encourages us to stand up for ourselves, to be stubborn, to get angry.
His symbol, or at least the one I use for him, is that of a raindrop with an extended curve and an outline of a sprout in the centre.
[ID: a quick digital sketch of the aforementioned symbol /id]
*I currently consider myself a worshipper of Alil, not someone who works with Him. I do do that, but there are other gods who I work with as well, and more often.
