Got inspired by @cute-girls-from-anime-manga-vns and decided to do my own About Me: Video Games thing. I know I'm gonna get a lot of hot water thrown at me for some of these. But down below are my reasons on every game in the list... Also can you tell I've been on every part of the frickin' internet? Also, This is gonna be long. So I'm sorry to those who do decided to read it all and get lost on my dumb autistic yapping.
Favorite Game: (Sonic the hedgehog CD) A very decisive game that I really love. I love the time traveling system, the 3D special stages, both the Japanese and American soundtracks are phenomenal, and plus, you got those cool animations at the start and end of the game and I wish Sega would make a full on 2D animation Sonic show again.
Best Story: (Goddess of Victory: NIKKE) NIKKE isn't nothing new on my account. I've drawn some characters and of course god herself Doro. And aside from having cute and very sexy gals, the game is very emotional and you really get attached to the characters. (I cried waterfalls for Cinderella and would give her hugs... I'm a clingy stupid adult. But hey, fictional characters deserve love too.)
Favorite Art style: (Chrono Gear: Warden of Time) Although I haven't played it and I wish the fucks over at Nintendo would put it on the dang Switch 1's eShop already and not accept twenty stupid AI slop games, I seen Kronii play through Chrono Gear: Warden of Time and the pixel art and animations are amazing.
Biggest Personal Impact and Nostalgic Childhood Game: (Super Mario World) As I stated before, Super Mario World was the first game I ever played in 2009 (I think) and it would be a starting point to my love of games as a whole, so I putted it in two categories because it is the game I think about when I think of nostalgic games I played.
Best Combat: (Sonic Frontiers) When the combat system was revealed, I was skeptical. But when playing the game in November in 2022 after buying it from GameStop, I really loved the attacks Sonic can pull off on enemies and Guardians... And when you get to the titans and become Super... Hohohoooo man!!! CRANK THE VOLUME UP TO FEEL THE POWER OF SUPER SONIC WITH KELLIN'S VOCALS! AS NOTHING CAN STOP YOU NOW!!!
Overhated: (Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric) This game... I don't hate. There are other worse Sonic games and I shown my hate for Sonic Superstars a number of times here, I don't hate Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and hell, despite every silly stupid thing that happens in it, I also surprisingly don't hate Sonic 06. I think the Boom designs are interesting, the music is good and I don't mind the repetitive voices.
Underrated: (Sonic 3D Blast) A lot of this is my terrible sonic opinions, so here's another one! I really love Sonic 3D Blast. If you look over the janky controls and the Flicky mechanic. The game is fun, it has my favorite 3D artsyle of the Blue Blur and his friends that I wish Sega would acknowledge, has two versions with two different soundtracks that are both phenomenal and the best final boss ever for the first (Second) 3D Sonic game.
Overrated: (Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach): This game had a lot of hype (that was mostly leaks from Funko) and after the disaster of Scott Cawthon getting in hot water and two different trailers, I started to feel indifferent about the game. Then the magnum disaster came out and it was filled with bugs, it had very shitty stealth mechanics, the Pizzaplex is too large for its own good, the game isn't frickin' scary, the endings are the most complicated thing to ever grace the franchise even though it should've ended in 2015 with FNaF 4.
Needs a remake: (Sonic Forces) I feel in my heart that Sonic Forces needs a remake. The horrible story needs changed by our lord and savior Ian Flynn, Classic Sonic's physics and stage music need changed, the levels needs changed. The Double Boost mechanic shouldn't be in a lot of stages, Zavok and Metal Sonic shouldn't be the only doppelganger bosses in the game, Infinite needs to have more potential, and the levels shouldn't be straight narrow hallways that make Sonic automatically turn.
Criminally Overlooked: (Gunstar Heroes) I know this game is still loved by retro gamers, but most people have not played this game, if you like hard as balls Run n' Gun games that have fun bosses, Gunstar Heroes is on NSO and on other modern consoles VIA the Sega Genesis Classics. I even made a PowerPoint of the game in highschool, mostly just for fun though.
Favorite protagonist: (Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4) What can I say about Mr. Leon Butt chin One liner Kennedy? He kicks ass, is snarky but also still a hero at the end of the day, and... Come on, he's a looker. And his big comeback in Requiem was fun too. Although he's a Dilf, he still has the moves and still probably practices his one liners in the mirror.
Favorite antagonist: (Erazor Djinn from Sonic and the Secret Rings) Erazor Djinn has gotta be an underrated villain in the Sonic series. Being from a race called Djinn and being an evil version of the Genie in the Lamp from Arabian Nights, Erazor Djinn plans on destroying the pages of the book Sonic was reading. I love his design, his English voice (Provided by Peter Cormican) is amazing and the battles with him (in his normal form and the Alf Layla wa-Layla form) are fun.. If you get used to the motion controls.
Best Soundtrack: (Ristar) People say that the Genesis/Mega Drive isn't good at making music (and while some people are not wrong) most of the Genesis/Mega Drive's games had fantastic sounding music. Ristar is one of those games. Tomoko Sasaki took the Genesis sound and made it sound amazing. My favorite songs from the game are "Du-Di-Da!" And "Splash Down".
Best Multiplayer: (Super Mario Bros. Wonder) I mean, if you're playing the game with four people together in person it can become full on chaos (Just look at TRG's playthrough of the game), but the online multiplayer is simply phenomenal as everyone has their own camera.
Not usually my thing, but...: (Overwatch) I'm really not into first person shooters because I always get scared by anything popping up in my view of vision. But I love the gameplay of Overwatch, and I love the characters... And yes, they're hot. I won't deny that.
Turn My Brain Off: (Suika Game) I just started playing this game not too long ago after watching many VTubers play it, but when I got my hands on it, it's a very addicting (And rage inducing) game with cute visuals and cute music... I may have a Suika Game addiction.
Best with Friends: (Super Mario Party Jamboree) This is the most best Mario Party experience ever. (Although I get that the partner minigames aren't their cup of tea because they're long and some are just boring.) But you get a lot of fun stuff like a story mode, the rhythm kitchen minigame I still get addicted to and Western Land got remade for it... Still wished they had cowboy outfits like the original (I yearn for Cowgirl Rosalina).
Best Retro Game: (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest) This game is there when I need A: a good challenge. And B: a good kick in the balls. David Wise's score on this game is great and Stickerbush Symphony and Bayou Boogie still lives in my head rent free.
Game everyone should play: (Kichikuou Rance) If you're over the age of 18 and want a cool and dark story with fun gameplay. Kichikuou Rance (Which was widely believed to be the finale in the Rance Series when Alicesoft was going bankrupt, but it's now non-cannon when the game proved successful and Rance X was the true finale of the series) is the game for you (If you can get passed Rance's more dickish and more horny nature that was a part of 90s Rance's personality, that is). This game would inspire the seventh game in the series Sengoku Rance, which is widely known for upping the gameplay of Kichikuou Rance tenfold. The game's artsyle is amazing as it was done by Staff artist Purin and from all of the games in the original timeline. The art in the game blows those out of the park, it looks like a 90s anime and as I love Rance Sabaku No Guardian, I wish there was another Rance OVA in the 90s... Also Dark sword Chaos looks absolutely badass in this artsyle. But as I said, the game is 18+, there is an illustrated hyper Weapon in this game (And by that, I mean Rance's dick.)
And that is it for my little thing. Thank you Cute Girls from Anime, Manga VNS for inspiring me to do this. I kinda wanna do another one of these, this was pretty fun. Anyways I hope you guys that made it this far have a very nice day and stay hydrated. 🩵🩷
