okay, she isn't just a piece of wood, she is an entire pale garden that got reeealy fond of a human just passing by. The human was Alex, of course — most likely the first one who had the cubes to walk there.

The pale garden liked the adventuress and decided to follow her. It created yet another creaking himanoid, gave it just a little bit more of consciousness and decided to copy the appearance of the beloved human to seem more frendly.

Villainsbane doesn't speak human language, but she can creak (quietly or shrilly), make sounds like breaking twigs, and rustle amusingly :3

Instead of blood, she has maple syrup (goes great with pancakes).

She probably crafted her shirt from some plants, or stole one of Alex's shirts, or stole a villager's robe, i dunno.
