Summary The next time a storm rolls in to Cebu province, Alex Walker is prepared: No one's laughing at him now. He's made a fortress of sandbags around the base of the shack; the windows are firmly pinned shut and towels are nailed over them on the inside; boards on the outside. The breakables are stored carefully in a corner of the shop, there's bottled water and tinned food, and now Alex is just waiting on the doorstep, eyeing the changing colour of the clouds, hands on his hips and a challenge in his expression.
