I love this interview because it shows how celebs should be interviewed. Tbh, I donβt care about your personal life, I want to know about the music, the projects, your creative process. Yes, thereβs a natural interest in the lives of our faves, but at the end of the day, thatβs personal, theyβre at work. Itβs their job. AJ did a good job at βasking the hard questionsβ that audience members and fans most likely wanted to know, but did it in a way that connected to Aaliyahβs work. He also didnβt pry and make her feel uncomfortable about not sharing. Aaliyah also hit it right on the head when she said, βthe public owns everything you do, but some things are personal.β I love that. She understood her role as a celeb but as a normal human who is deserving of privacy.
