My alarms are like old friends. Back when I started dating my beloved wife nine years ago they made labeled alarms for my typical shifts.
My early morning one was called: “Wake dat ass up… sorry lovey girl”
My mid shift alarm became: “Reasonable so probs the bottom”
My closing shift was dubbed: “Gays would normally have brunch now”
I no longer remember what the original times were, they change to suit my current life. If I must wake up early I use Wake Dat Ass Up. If I get a leisurely morning it’s Reasonable. If I need a reminder between 11-1 I use Brunch.
They are old friends, reminders of a silly moment with my cherished wife. My phones have changed, but the alarms stay.
