Sveta Bold Condensed was developed within @akucollective for Tallinn Music Week 2018 as its central branding device. With the focus on space-saving and unique visual aesthetic for large display usage, it combines thin horizontal forms with contrasting verticals. The Cyrillic alphabet and various diacritical symbols and glyphs are also included. The specimen for the typeface is a tent: the habitat of a typical festival visitor — thus linking it with the intended usage and its designated printing process. ‘But why is its name Sveta?’, you may ask. Because I started drawing the typeface at Sveta Baar in Tallinn at one great party event.

This display typeface was awarded with a Silver Prize on the Estonian Design Awards 2018 and nominated on the ADC*Europe Awards 2018.
