These are some of the many different Koottaksharangal (Alphabet Combinations) used in Malayalam. Some are common and some not. I think most consonants can be joined together in Malayalam to form a letter. Although, with the use of a Chandrakala ് (the crescent on top) a lot of these combinations can be separated to get the same sound. I’ll do a post on it next.
PS: ന്ന can also be pronounced differently. While in winner, only the tip of your tongue touches the roof of your mouth, try pronouncing it by touching the roof with most of the top part of you tongue. You should be getting a flatter sounding nna.
