“I see people as the nucleus of a great idea that hasn't come to be yet.” - #RichardPryor • A quick #flashback to last week’s #ArtBasel where at the @tfa_the_fearless_artist show I ran into the work of #AjamuKojo (@ajamu). It was crazy because of all the work in the fair (which had some good stuff) this work stood out to me. The #legendary Richard Pryor seen as a painter masked behind what seemed to be a palm tree. One thing that caught me was the huge nose ring reminiscent of a caricatured bull from a cartoon but here presenting a sense of royalty or importance to a tribe. What I thought were paintbrushes turned out to be spears, as if the artist used the weaponry as a salute.
