Went down in the wee hours of Saturday to test these out. The #Nike #AirMax98 #Sprite I used to have them back in 1999 and I did everything in them from running to basketball to street soccer. Of course I had my fair share of retros over the years of the #AM98 but never did I think of using them for a run or bball. Thus I did it. I went out and ran 5 km and they were just as I remembered; stable and responsive. Perhaps this is a retro or my memory ain't so well but I think that the original releases cushioning wasn't that firm. Could be a change in the midsole foam density? From this experience, I most probably will end up running and even try balling in them once the opportunity arise. A shoe I will recommend especially if you want only one pair to do it all. Aesthetically depending on the colourway, they pretty much compliments most streetwear. A thing to note is as of sizing. I normally wear a NIKE US12 however for the Air Max 95, 97 & 98, the best fit for me is US12.5.
