Nike is digging deeper into its early 2000s football archive and this time it’s going all in. Building on the momentum of its Air Max 95 and Total 90 fusion series, the brand is rolling out its boldest pair yet with the Nike Air Max 95 Total 90 “Metallic Gold.” What started as a crossover idea is now clearly a full collection, blending classic running heritage with football-inspired design.

This pair makes an instant impact. The signature layered panels of the Air Max 95 are fully covered in a glossy metallic gold finish that’s hard to miss. Underneath, tonal mesh keeps things balanced so the shoe still feels wearable despite the shine. A solid black sole with the familiar visible Air cushioning grounds the look and adds contrast.

The Total 90 influence shows up in the details. A circular “95” logo on the tongue nods to the iconic T90 branding, while checkered insoles and subtle Air Max text near the heel give the sneaker more personality. It feels like a thoughtful tribute rather than just another color update.

Every design reflects the energy of the communities and fearless athletes who call these cities home.

The Atelier colorway nods to Paris and the new creative collectives redefining the hustle inside the city’s third space studios. A soft neutral gradient upper fades into the Air Max 95’s signature black midsole, balancing refinement and grit.

The Hong Kong colorway channels the city’s bold cultural attitude. Red gradients echo the glow of neon streets, while layered textures reflect Hong Kong’s ability to absorb and remix global influences into a constant, high energy pulse. Beneath the lights, ideas collide and creativity never stops moving.

The I 95 design is rooted in the power of community, drawing from Baltimore’s bike life and the streets surrounding the I 95 corridor. An all black upper is paired with metal eyelets, giving the shoe a raw and purposeful feel.

The Seongsu colorway captures the evolving spirit of one of Seoul’s most creative neighborhoods, known by subway station 211. An expressive gray upper, black detailing, and red laces reflect the area’s blend of history and innovation within its reimagined creative spaces.

City Pack apparel reworks classic sportswear staples for today, alongside bold statement pieces inspired by motorsports and gaming culture.

The “Neon” may forever hold the crown as the most iconic Air Max 95 colorway, but the “Solar Red” sits comfortably right behind it in the A-tier of classics. Dressed in the signature grey gradient upper with black midsoles, this pair is brought to life with striking hits of “Solar Red” across the visible Air units, lace eyelets, tongue branding, and outsole accents.

Unlike the often-seen “Neon,” the “Solar Red” hasn’t resurfaced nearly as often. And when it has, most retro runs leaned toward a hotter, almost crimson shade. This 2025 release, however, stays closer to the 1995 original with a slightly pink-leaning tone, bringing back the true essence of the OG.
