I'm reading Alice because of your recommendation and I am LOVING it. It's perfect. The characters, the things they do and say, everything.
*twirls delightedly* Isn't it, though?!
I'm so happy to be able to share something so lovely with people, and to know that it's making the writer happy, and...this whole thing is just so...cool!
Oh, and, nice to formally make your acquaintance beasyou-are!
(oh, and to you and anybody else who's reading, don't forget that reviews give writers life and hope...and hopefully the inspiration to write more loveliness ;-)
Lorelai leaned over toward her oldest daughter. âHey, whatâs that smell? It smells like⌠old books, and leather, and cigarettes, and ink. Oh, and do I detect a hint of teenage rebellion turned bohemianesque respectability?â

I love this description of Jessâs smell.
"Hey, now." Luke has his 'fathers united' face on. "Your father loves you. He's just not very good at showing it. Plus, he's not around much to show you. But he makes sure you and your mother never want for anything and he never forgets your birthday. Remember how jealous Audrey and Doula where last year when he sent you that Gecko coat from Paris?" "It's Gucci, grandpa," she groaned and rolled her eyes. "And I would have preferred a hug." Suddenly she did not want to be having this conversation at all. "You can't choose your parents, kiddo." Luke patted her head tenderly as he left the room. She shugged, sighed heartily, and went back to her book.

You do know Alice would make a pretty perfect Gilmore Girls Movie, right?
I've had the plot of my own EverFixed Mark "nominated" for that honor, and...*deep breath* wow...but...
Alice is really perfect for it. And if they made it any time in the next few years, the timeline would be beautifully believable.

"Put them away."
Alice ~ by AineRose
100% the only line from fanfiction that is inseparable from GG canon in my own mind. And in "my clone's" mind. It just IS.
She could probably be hired as his personal cheerleader.

kill me now
"When I was eighteen. Luke had kicked me out of Stars Hollow and I was on the road, homeless, a little hopeless. It just...burst out of me." It seemed to make him a little sad, so she moves on, although she stores the gem in her head that he lived in Stars Hollow for later. "Like Bukowski?" She tries to remember, but comes up with only fragments: unless it comes out of your soul like a rocket, unless being still would drive you to madness or suicide or murder, don't do it. "Like Bukowski." He seems a little impressed. She smiles, validated and a little proud.
