After the death of his wife, Gwaine couldn’t deny that he was more distant to the youngest two, his daughter’s which  he had blamed for Faris’s passing. Of course were Faris around she would scold him for the treatment of their children but he hadn’t treated them badly. When they had skills and hobbies they wished to pursue he allowed it and funded it, but he never found himself spending time with them. But it had been nineteen years since, and even though he may not be as close to them as he was to Sam, Kenna, Will and Peter he did still love the girls. Which is why he found himself in a rage when he found out that one of them had been taken outside by a potential suitor without his permission or even a an audience. And it wasn’t longer before the man had pulled on his daughters’ arm and pushed her behind him, “You go home,” he would talk with her later, but for now he was going to handle the man. “You and I will have a talk.

But he decided to wait till the man had left before he broke into the house, and as quietly as he could he took out his sword and crept around till he saw her before she saw him. He would have made her a dutchess, he’d have given her the world and she would rather have a life like this rather than marry him? His sword tip pressed into her back as she was looking out the window, “You’re a hard woman to find.”

A giggle escaped the soldier’s lips, his brow rising as he watched Joan trying to so hard to look intimidating. It was truly cute to watch, and he had to give his best as to not laugh out loud and grin like an idiot. He shook his head. “Wha’s tha’ all ‘bout?” His head tilted to the side as he studied her from top to toe. “Ye know ye’re gonna break yer hands like tha’? Ye go’a turn yer hand a lil, and don’t curl yer index finger ‘round yer thumb…”

“Being honest, yeah. I hadn’t heard of you for a while and figured you’d moved onto bigger and better things.” Brandt replied, a small chuckle on his lips, allowing himself a little leeway. “So, what’s this all about then?”

“Well now,” Vito said, finger running over the rim of his scotch on the rocks. His eyes flicked up only briefly, long enough to take in the sight of the man approaching him. “Look what we’ve got here. Straying to the wrong side of the tracks tonight, are we?” He was awfully confident for a man suddenly cornered. “What can I do for you, Benjamin?”

Kenna hated this time of year, watching as all the others get married off even her brother, while she had to wait because her father didn’t believe she’s ready . Her father clearly would not ever recover from the loss of her mother and she believed that had been the reason for his hesitation to accept a suitor. “It must be nice, sure you didn’t marry for love but- it still must be nice. Please convince father to allow me to at least talk to someone. It’s not fair.”

It was quite a show for Ronan, to witness Kier in his natural habitat. He on the other hand was not normally the type to hunt a human, finding the act to be a bit out there even for him. But Kier always treated it like an art, as if pain and suffering were a beautiful thing to behold. As the two tracked Mercy through the woods, guided only by the pale light of the moon, he had grown to appreciate the fear that humans emit when their lives are in the hands of others. "She will grow more tired eventually, look at her. She is already so weak." He replied, glancing to Kier as he spoke before looking back at Mercy. "It would be more merciful to kill her here, give her a quick death." But his proposal went unanswered, Kier was far too busy responding to Mercy. "What could you, a mere human, possibly have to bargain with two kings of the faerie court?" He asked, his tone showing doubt in her words.
