Don’t know if you get this but can you possibly do #17 (“Bite me”) with Michael?? (if you don’t write for Michael, Ryan or any other Lad would be top) Happy to see you writing again! 💖💖
I'm going to make this gta!au because I feel like it fits better for Michael.
You were invited to stay in the penthouse with the infamous criminals of Los Santos. You weren't so innocent yourself though, you helped them cover most of their tracks and gave them leads. You were highly regarded, and very much so protected as a gratitude gift. You were greeted by the bickering of familiar voices as you stepped foot out of your room.
"Oh come on, I won that!" You heard Jeremy whine, you could see that they were playing cards. You couldn't help but roll your eyes. These criminals were actually children. "No, I clearly did!" Michael retorts, shoving his cards on the table with defeat.
"Seriously?" You speak up, as much as you liked the entertainment, it just wasn't something you wanted to wake up to. Michael turned around to face you, "Oh bite me Y/N!"
"Yeah? Maybe later if you're lucky." You smirk, making your way towards the kitchen where the sound of hollering was all but behind you.

summary: You’re not quite sure what compelled you to move to the infamous city of Los Santos, a ruthless playground for drug dealers, washed-up celebrities, and criminals alike. It was very different from your small hometown in the middle of nowhere, where nothing ever happened and you couldn’t even leave your house without running into someone you knew, but perhaps that was part of the attraction. But, after running into your ex-best friend, Jeremy Dooley, you began to think Los Santos wasn’t so bad as it seemed. Well, until the bank you worked at got robbed and you managed to get kidnapped all in the same week, leading you to become stuck in a penthouse with six very deadly males.
chapter 1 / chapter 2 / chapter 3 / chapter four
It had been a few days since the robbery, and you had just entered your apartment building. The bank still hadn’t reopened because of the repairs and some security updates were still needed. You actually had begun to feel antsy from staying home. At first, you had debated on actually going out to a nightclub or something, but your introverted side settled on grocery shopping.
When you made it to your door, a confused expression took over your features. Your apartment door was slightly ajar and it appeared as if the lights were on inside. Your brain kicked into overdrive, trying to figure out what exactly had happened in your absence.
Maybe Mrs. Gunkhouse, your landlord, had stopped by to drop off the rest of the paperwork needed to move. But, she surely would have shut the door and turned off the light. Right? Or you just forgot to lock up before you had left. That was another probable reason.
Without having any other explanation of what could have happened, you decided to cautiously approach the cracked door and enter your apartment. Your eyes grew wide as you surveyed the scene.
Cardboard boxes were overturned, the items that they once contained sprawled out onto the floor. Anything that could be broken was shattered to pieces, including the vase you had bought the day prior. Your heart plummeted down into your stomach when you finally realized that you had been robbed. You ran your hands through your hair in frustration. Why now? Why you? As if things hadn’t gone to shit already since you had arrived in this town.
A countless amount of questions fluttered through your brain until you finally had one stabilized thought. I still have the card Miles gave me with his phone number. He had said to call if you had any more information about the bank situation, but you’re pretty sure he would help you with this robbery as well. All of the previous thoughts you had vanished and your only goal was to get that card.
You exited the living room and into the small hallway that housed the bathroom, your bedroom, and a closet. Thankfully, all of the boxes that once called this place home were now unpacked and thrown out, so you didn’t run the risk of dying on the way to your room.
However, when you did step foot into your room, you were too afraid to venture any further. Near your closet, was a man standing with his back turned to you and going through your belongings. It had just occurred to you that you weren’t robbed. No, there was someone currently still robbing you. You were frozen in fear for a second, but eventually, you had built up enough energy to begin stepping out of the room. Slowly and quietly, you backed up towards the door. Well, until you felt something hard collide against your back.
“Found her.” A gruff voice spoke from behind you. You tried to turn around to look at them, but a pair of strong hands clasped down onto your shoulders to keep you in place. The man who was going through your things previously turned around with a smile that made you uneasy.
“Hello, y/n.”
A sudden realization hit you, the feeling similar to a ton of bricks being thrown into your stomach. Your legs wobbled and if it wasn’t for the man holding your shoulders, you would probably be on the ground right about now. They didn’t come here to rob you. They came here for you.
You opened your mouth to say something, but the words never came. Before you could, a rag was slipped over both your opened mouth and your nose. You stood like this for awhile, your struggle rendering useless as the man pushed the rag further into your face. Over time, your vision began to grow cloudy and your brain tripped over its own thoughts. After a few minutes, you had fallen unconscious.
When you woke up, you half expected to be greeted with the (favorite color) walls of your bedroom. But, instead, you were greeted white brick walls and a terrifyingly open space. It looked like to be some sort of warehouse, or maybe even a hanger. There was a dull ache that surrounded your wrist and thanks to the experience you had back at the bank, you quickly realized a cable tie had been secured around them. You searched your brain for answers, but the memories only flooded back into your mind once you heard a familiar voice.
“Oh, you’re up.”
You looked to your left to see the man who had kidnapped you, along with several others. They all held the same scowl and rather lean builds but varied in height. Matter of fact, two of the men who stood closer to the very right end of the group looked to be twins.
It took you a minute, but you found your voice. It came out shaky, but at least noise actually left your lips.
“Where am I? What do you want from me?”
He licked his lips before a grin came onto his face.
“You’ll find that out in a little bit, sweetheart.” He then turned towards the others. “Get in your places, we’re starting the next phase of the plan.”
The group began to disperse in different directions, but the man who had called you sweetheart and another man still stood in front of you. You could only assume the other man was the one who had grabbed you in the bedroom.
“Ready?” The second guy looked towards the first man, who only nodded. This prompted him to turn to you. “You keep your mouth shut.” You noticed him push back his shirt slightly and grab hold of something. Your body immediately wretched when your (eye color) eyes landed upon the handgun. “Or things are going to go south real fast.” You wordlessly nodded, fear manifesting in your stomach.
The first man dug a phone out of his pocket and pressed a few buttons, initiating a call. It wasn’t until he had adjusted his grip on the cell and put it on speaker that you noticed that it was your phone. The line rings twice before someone picks up.
“Hello?”
You blink in shock. Was...was that Jeremy?
“Hello, Jeremy. You don’t know me, but I know you.”
“Where’s y/n?” You had never heard Jeremy’s voice this cold before.
“She’s right next to me, but I’m afraid she’s a little bit too...tied up…. to speak with you at the moment. But I’m sure she’d be more than willing to talk once my group and I get what we want. Well, if she lives that long, that is. Give Geoff the phone.”
The fear that you had started to feel moments ago increased and your mind began to race.
“If you hurt her, I swear…”
“Time is ticking, Dooley.”
You heard Jeremy take a deep breath, but that was the last clear sound that came from his end of the phone call. Some noises came through the microphone after, but it was in the form of indistinguishable movements and muffled voices. Eventually someone was handed the phone and took over the conversation .
“You wanted to speak to me?” The man who you assumed was ‘Geoff’ spoke. There was something familiar about the voice, but you couldn’t exactly place where you had heard it before.
“Six months ago, you stole away our territory and gave it to some young bucks with nothing to their name.”
A scoff came from the other end of the line.
“That’s what this is about? Look, kid. We didn’t steal anything. I’ve known Joel Heyman for years. He gave the territory over to the Fakes because of his retirement.”
“It wasn’t his to give!” The man snapped before regaining his composure. “You boss types are all the same, aren’t cha? You all just see Sandy Shores as a territory to control. To us, it’s so much more. Some of us have friends and family there. It’s home. But you guys didn’t think about that when you laid off all these guys, huh? Didn’t think about most of them had criminal records and can’t put food on the table anymore for the people they love?”
“Look, man, I’m sorry. That sucks. But I can’t give you the spa-”
“We don’t care about that anymore, Ramsay.”
“Then why the fuck did you set thi-”
“We want money. Forty thousand, to be exact. And don’t say you don’t have it, because we know you do. Bring it to the old paper warehouse on fifth by midnight or the girl gets a bullet in her skull.” With that, the man ended the call and tosses your phone onto a nearby folding table.
Two hours later, the front door of the warehouse opened to reveal Jeremy and an older looking man wearing a suit and covered in tattoos. You guessed that this was Geoff, the man who was on the phone with your kidnapper. Behind them were a man with red hair wearing a brown leather jacket and a man with a beard in a Hawaiian shirt, both holding briefcases. You felt as if there was something familiar about the man with the red hair, but the sound of your captor’s hands slamming against the folding table made you jump.
“Wow, you all actually showed up!”
As they approached, you locked eyes with Jeremy. This was probably the most pissed you had even seen him, but his brown eyes softened when they glanced at you.
“We have your money, let the girl go.” Geoff spoke, locking his tattooed hands behind his back.
“Not so fast, Ramsey.” Your captor smiled. He held out his hand and did a ‘gimme’ motion. “Let me see the cash so I know you’re not jipping us.” Geoff nodded over to the redhead and the bearded man, who both took a step forward and placed the briefcases on the floor. They kicked over the money and slid it across the floor in order to ensure they wouldn’t case any alarm. Your captor looked towards his companion, who went over and picked up the suitcases. After opening it and looking over the cash, he nodded.
“Everything’s here.”
“We held up our end of the deal.” Geoff commented as he put his hands into his pockets. “Are you going to keep your promise?”
Your captor took a few steps to the side so he was positioned directly behind you and placed a cold hand onto your shoulder. You twitched at the sudden contact, but kept your mouth shut.
“Well, I would love to, but I’m afraid there’s been a change of plans.” You felt something cold and metal press against the side of your head, instantly causing your heart to drop. “It’s only fair that since you guys took away something so special to us, we do the same.” Tears threatened to spill as your observed the faces of the four men in front of you. Jeremy seemed tense, but one look from Geoff seemed to calm his nerves. You questioned this, but the chaos that erupted seconds later overtook your thoughts.
“I was really hoping it wouldn’t come to this but fine.” Geoff sighed. “Go ahead, Ryan.”
Before anyone could react, a bullet zoomed through one of windows and hit your captor in the head. You tried not to wretch as something wet splashed onto your face. The sound of gunshots overtook the area as Geoff, the redhead, and the bearded man were now all armed and fought against the remaining people. Within the chaos, Jeremy dashed over towards you and untied your restraints.
“Jeremy, what the fuck is happening?” You asked in a panic tone. He casted you a sympathetic look before shaking his head.
“I’ll explain later. Right now we gotta find cover, okay?” You blinked in confusion , straining to hear him over the gunshots, but nodded as he grabbed your hand. “Jack, cover me!”
Jack, the bearded man, peered over from the crate he was using as cover and called out.
“Got it!”
“On the count of three, we’re going to run over to that crate, okay?” Jeremy gestured to the crate that was in between the ones Jack and the redhead were using.
“O-okay.”
“One! Two! Three!” On cue, you and Jeremy both ran over to the box and hid behind it. “Stay down until it’s all clear.” He commanded as he retrieved the gun that was previously hidden on his body. You watched with a mixture of terror and awe as peeped over the side of the box and begun to fire. This was around the time when you noticed two things. One a man with a black skull mask and another man who you couldn’t exactly see because of his position behind a forklift had entered the fray on your side. Two, you felt like your heart could explode at any moment.
A few minutes went by before Geoff called out to the group.
“How many more are left?”
“Three, maybe four!” Jack answered before the redhead also chimed in.
“Two guys just escaped out the back door!”
“Michael and Gavin, go take care of it.”
“Got it Geoff!” A thick, British accent responded. “Let’s go boi!”
“Just shut up and come on.” The redhead, Michael, ran out of the back door with the other man following him. You squinted in remembrance, there was definitely something familiar about this. Jeremy noticed your reaction, because once the gunshots ceased, questioned your expression.
“You okay? It’s safe to stand up now, by the way.”
“W-what? Y-yeah. As much as I can be in this situation, yeah.” You stated while standing up. Your eyes locked onto one of the dead bodies that laid a few feet away. Your stomach churned at the sight. You quickly averted your gaze to the Michael and the other man re-entering the building with distraught expressions.
“We lost them at an busy intersection.” Michael announced.
“Do you think they left to get back up?” Jeremy asked, causing the group in front of you to exchange looks.
“We can’t keep standing around here, just in case they did.”
“What are we going to do with her?” The Brit jerked a thumb over in your direction.
“Doesn’t she have a house or something we can drop her off at?” Michael commented. You quickly decided to jump in, feigning confidence. You didn’t exactly want to confront the group of men you had just saw kill several people, but it had to be done.
“My apartment is where they found me. I came home from shopping and they were snooping around my room, waiting for me.”
“Then she’s definitely not going back and we’re certainly not leaving her alone since there’s two guys out there at know she can be used as an asset against u-”
“Cool your jets, Lil’ J.” Geoff sighed as he looked around the room. “I agree, it’s not safe for her right now. You care about her, thus we care about her. Let’s take her back to the penthouse.”
“And how are we going to do that? The penthouse location is supposed to be a secret to everyone who isn’t FAHC.” Jack looked towards Geoff for an idea, but before he could answer, the masked man spoke up.
“I have an idea.”
You suddenly felt something thump the back of your head. As you lost consciousness, you felt yourself fall into someone’s arms, presumingly Jeremy’s, and the group letting out a series of groans.
First post on this blog might as well be a fic right?

The first time you realised your feelings was when you caught Ryan’s attention from across the room at the annual holiday party. His piercing blue eyes had met yours through a crowd of people and you had frozen, admiring his stance. His clothes, a white dress shirt unbuttoned at the collar and black dress pants, clung tightly to his form and only seemed to accent his features. It felt like forever before you took a breath, however when he made a move to push through the crowd towards you, instinct told you to run. Heart pounding as you slipped through the mass of people, you blended in as you made for the exit.
Before you knew it, you had parked up outside of your house and ran inside, heels discarded by this point and hanging loosely from your hand as your other fumbled with the keys to the front door, the familiar click of the lock bringing an antidote to the adrenaline that was still coursing through your veins. Fabric and heels hit the floor of your home as you entered and closed the door, slipping from the dress that had hugged your form as a way of discarding any remnants of the past few hours. A hoodie and some sweatpants quickly replaced the dress and you curled up on your couch, finally alone with your thoughts.
James Ryan Haywood; a confidant of sorts for you, the first one to have taken notice of you almost two years ago when you had first set foot in the office. Sharing of secrets and knowing smiles had slowly blossomed into a strong bond between the two of you, however the nature of that bond was never completely clear. One day gentle touches and flirtatious jokes would be exchanged, then come the next it was as if he wanted to avoid any form of contact with you. You ran your hand through your hair, detangling the knots that had formed during your ‘Irish goodbye’ style exit from the party. Love had never been meant for you, you’d told yourself this after your first heartbreak before moving to Austin. Relationships weren’t even an option for you anymore, your time too consumed by work; yet it was work that you wanted to avoid altogether right now due to fear of a complicated relationship.
After the holidays you had returned to work early on the first day back to avoid walking in with him already in the room. However, even without his presence over the holidays and even now, your mind had wandered to him, to scenarios that you only wished would happen. What if you hadn’t bolted? Maybe you would have ended up leaving together, happy, instead of alone and fearful. Bringing yourself out of your thoughts, you looked at your phone to check the time and a message caught your eye;
25m ago - Ryan: You back at the office today?x
Your breath caught in your throat as your fingers graced the keyboard, slowly typing a reply. Your thumb faltered over the ‘x’, unsure whether to send a kiss back. It was unusual to receive one in the first place with it being a habit you’d brought across from England, however you always signed your own texts off with a kiss so it would be uncharacteristic not to. You rolled your eyes at yourself, annoyed that you were overthinking something so unimportant as you hit the ‘x’, sending your response of a simple “yeah x”. As you set your phone back down, the familiar text notification sounded again and you frowned, confused at the fast reply before realising it hadn’t come from your phone, but from the phone of the man now walking through the doorway.
“Bit of a slow response there huh?” Ryan chuckled light-heartedly as he checked the message on his way through the office, passing your desk to sit at his own. You scoffed, rolling your eyes, “Well some of us were busy editing, Haywood.” You responded, an involuntary smile tugging at your lips. Tunnel vision took over as it felt as if the hangar in which your office was situated reduced to just that room. His eyes met yours and you felt the same instinct from weeks ago, yet this time you pushed it down as his eyes reflected the same smile that your lips still held. His smile parted as words began to form at the tip of his tongue but as a familiar chime of “Quit flirting!” sounded in the office, they quickly changed to a grumbled greeting to the moustached man who had entered without either of you noticing.
You had always tried to avoid gossip within the office, yet whenever you and Ryan were within a 20-metre radius of eachother the rest of the guys couldn’t help but to poke fun at the pair of you. It hadn’t hurt at first, but when their jabs about the exchanged glances between yourself and Ryan, or the feelings the both of you felt, began to become all too real, it only contributed to your self-doubt. You would never deny any of their jokes, however Ryan was always quick to dismiss, and it hit a little harder each time.
“I-I’ve gotta go, meeting with Trevor in 10 minutes,” You mumbled as you quickly gathered your belongings and shoved them into your messenger bag, avoiding looking at the two men in the room. As you turned to leave, your eyes met Ryan’s once again and he gave you a small grin and a half-hearted wave. Blood rushed to your cheeks as you reciprocated the action and your feet carried you from the room, brushing past the rest of the guys as they entered.
That evening you’d decided to have a night to destress, which in your terms was to lay on the couch and get a little bit tipsy on your favourite wine. The same questions played on your mind, what if love really wasn’t meant for you? As if to answer your question, your phone lit up and that familiar name appeared;
Now – Ryan: Are you alright? You’ve been acting kinda strange lately, no offence x
A sigh escaped your lips as they tugged into a tired smile, his concern being slightly sobering to your wine drunk self. Maybe it was the alcohol in your veins, but boldness took over as you quickly typed a response and hit send with no hesitation;
You: Are you free to come over?x
It only took a few moments before panic began to build as you read over what you’d sent several times, only being contributed to by the fact that a response never came. You slammed your phone down on the coffee table and took another swig of wine, this time from the bottle, in an attempt to ignore the pit in your stomach. You almost missed the knock at the door until it sounded a second time and your feet clumsily carried you to it, unlocking it and yanking it open. Ryan stood on the door step, chest heaving as if he’d ran here – had he ran here? His car wasn’t in the driveway…
As if he could read your train of thought, he chuckled and glanced back at the driveway, “Your text made me panic a little and I decided that starting a car took too much time, so I ran instead, I guess?” He explained, almost questioning his own actions. You couldn’t help but laugh as you invited him in, flopping back down on the couch as he came to join you.
“No need for panic Rye, it’s just easier to talk in person than through a screen,” You replied, before realising the extent of the situation – Ryan was here, in your home, and you had no escape. Ignoring your previous words, panic began to rise in your chest and the wine bottle was back in your hands, and Ryan’s hand was on yours – Wait…
“Drinking isn’t the answer to life’s problems,” Ryan lectured, his hand on yours as he took the bottle from your grasp. Your hands then went to your face, rubbing at it as you let out an exaggerated sign. When you pulled them away, you noticed Ryan’s eyebrows were knitted together in concern, his gaze gentle and unwavering.
“R-Ryan, I don’t need to be babysat,” Your response was meant to be strong and threatening, yet it came out weak and crumbling as your hands shook slightly, now grasping to the sleeves of your hoodie as you looked away. You felt your grip being pried open and realised that Ryan had taken hold of your hand once again, his thumb running over your knuckles in an attempt to soothe you.
“I came here because I was worried, Y/N, not to babysit you,” His voice began to calm you and you lifted your head to focus on him, “I came because I was concerned, I haven’t been able to keep you out of my thoughts since you disappeared at the holiday party.” He admitted, his cheeks beginning to glow a soft red as he smiled at you. Your free hand lifted and rested on his cheek, thumb running along his cheekbone as you moved forward, adrenaline taking over. Your lips crashed against his in a longing kiss, years of shared secrets and knowing smiles coming down to this one moment. Pure bliss overtook the both of you as your stress unravelled in eachothers arms.

The next holiday party was different. Instead of running away when your eyes met Ryan’s, you ran towards him, arms entangling around eachother as you grinned, sharing a blissful grin. The whole night you spent it in eachother presence, fear and stress being distant memories. Your fingers entangled into Ryan’s as you both blended into the crowd as you did the year before. This time, as you left, it wasn’t alone and in fear. It was together, and happy.
SUMMARY: Stranded in Los Santos, both Ray and yourself are left to battle with the final memories you have from the Fake AH Crew.
WC: 2047
WARNINGS: Slightly graphic content: blood.
You had only intended to stay is Los Santos for a few days to run some operations, but it quickly became apparent that your time in the city would be extended indefinitely; much to Ray’s dissatisfaction. The explosion had resulted in an airspace lockdown that ultimately ruined your plans, destroying the schedule you both had worked so hard to maintain. Now lounging on the couch in your old Los Santos apartment, you lazily watch Ray pace back and forth in front of you. “Ray,” you say gently, looking at the anxious expression on his face and stress setting into his shoulders, “come here.” You stand up, beckoning him to you with kindness in your eyes. He pulls a face before shuffling over to you and leaning his head on top of yours, hands hanging limp by his side. You wrap your arms around him anyway, letting him enjoy the comfort before you whisper “you’ve been blocking the TV.” You feel him grimace, pushing you back onto the couch before dropping down next to you, head in his hands. You sigh, knowing that despite the amusement creeping momentarily onto his face Ray had become extremely uncomfortable since the lockdown.
You pull him towards you, draping an arm around his shoulders and resting your head against his chest. “Ray...” you start, watching the images of the explosion littering the news before clicking it off and feeling him let out a deep sigh. “I just don’t wanna be here” he grumbles, heavily leaning into you and throwing you off balance. You shove him back as he smirks, though it doesn’t reach his eyes. “I know, neither of us do,” you say apologetically, sinking back into the plush cushions and listening to the faint noises drifting in from the street. “It’s gotta be them” you state, sure of yourself. Your stomach twists at the thought, the dry nagging in your chest begging for you to avoid the subject.
“Y/N,” Ray begins to complain, letting himself fall to the other side of the couch while pushing you away with his feet. You swat at them, scowling and ripping off one of his socks, tossing it across the room. “Great, and now my foot’s cold” he wines, continuing to wriggle away from you. “We’ve gotta talk about it” you state as he groan at your words, rolling on to his front and burying his face into the seat cushions, letting his arms hang. “Do we have to?” his voice is muffled, and you feel sadness creep over you. Shuffling uncomfortably, you hold Ray’s leg and give it a squeeze. “Yeah, we do. Something big has to be going on, they must have set off the explosion to get the sky shut down or-” he cuts you off dejectedly, groaning into the fabric of the couch. “No, I don’t want to talk about the crew. I don’t even want to acknowledge that they exist.” You give him another understanding pat and you drift back, letting the memories wash over you as the pain cuts into you as fresh as ever.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” Geoff bellows as you bolt back towards the flames, embers dancing sombrely on the delicate wind. The sky stretches above you, amber and smoke clashing together like enemies as the lull of night draws near. He reaches out, snatching your wrist to stop you with desperation in his eyes. “Y/N,” his voice is frantic as his eyes search your face, “you won’t be able to make it back in.” You look from his hand and up to the building burning and crumbling behind you, torn. “He’s still in there” you reply, pleading. Geoff rubs his free hand across his face, his skin caked in ash and despair. “You can’t know that,” his voice cracks, “he could have gotten out with a broken com;” but you’re already shaking your head to dismiss his words. “I have to, Geoff.” You gently peel his fingers from your wrist, squeezing his hand. “I can’t leave him there,” you say simply before rushing forward as Geoff races along side, still trying to convince you of the value your safety holds. “We aren’t leaving him,” he exclaims, panting slightly, “getting killed before backup gets here won’t save anybody!”
You slow as you pull up to the building, your skin beginning to sear uncomfortably. “We have to get the fire under control first,” he grips you by the shoulders, staring into your eyes “I’m not loosing you too, Cheshire, not another.” You give him a quick smile, jumping into his arms and hugging him close, silent for a moment bar the crackling of destruction surrounding you. “I’m not leaving him there” you whisper, feeling him tense when you throw yourself backward while landing your feet against his chest as you push away, forcing him back towards the ground. Landing in a crouch you look at him sadly, begging him to understand before turning quickly and running into the smoke.
Your lungs constrict as you enter the building, hearing the flames roar and structure creak unsteadily as you tie your bandana around your nose to stifle the onslaught of thick smoke. Your eyes fall on Michael as he hurries out of the building, clutching a bleeding and unconscious Gavin whose feet drag through the soot. “The fuck?!” he yells as he pushes past you, eyes angry and face pained “Vagabond’s gonna be so pissed if you die.”
“Then I’ll try my best to make it out” you reply, scanning the area quickly as your heart pounds uncontrollably against your aching ribs. You can hear your crew angrily screaming after you, but as you watch them race towards the entrance the frame collapses; Geoff’s agonised expression the last thing you see before the room is engulfed in flames. With a shudder you return you gaze to the room, panic nibbling at the edges of your resolve.
The stairs are buckling into the fire, leaving the bones of the building exposed beneath a gaping hole choking with plumes of smoke. Taking a deep breath you rush towards it, blood hammering in your ears. Reaching up you grasp at a beam and haul yourself upwards, determination pushing you forward. Struggling, you climb a flight or so further as the final beam beneath your foot strips away, clattering to the ground now dangerously far down. The heat becomes unbearable as you wriggle your way onto the exposed 3rd floor, spotting movement through the billowing smoke.
“Ray” you croak, shuffling towards him. Again, the building clatters, the floor above you cracking and plummeting down towards you. “Ray!” you call louder, squeezing your eyes shut before the concrete smashes into your leg; causing you to let out a scream. Blinding pain shoots through you, your foot contorting as you hear your bones snap. Shrieking, you force yourself to look at your mangled leg buried beneath the rubble, clutching it as you writhe in agony. Taking deep, sporadic breaths you throw your gaze quickly to Ray, able to see his face exposed and staring at you in fear. You can see his mouth moving, but the ringing in your ears drowns out all noise with every flip of your stomach.
Your mind begins to race as you refocus on your leg and the excruciating pain that has you sweating and convulsing uncontrollably. With all your strength you begin to lift, the concrete cutting into your fingers as you force the mass to move. After enough leverage, you try to balance the weight with one hand, using your other to snatch your leg awkwardly out from underneath. Another scream escapes your lips in a gurgle of bubbles, forcing your body forward to wrap around the wound that is now steadily losing blood, glugging fast and thick onto the floor. Groaning through a spasm of pain, you use your knife to help rip a strip of fabric from your shirt, ignoring the jagged bones jutting out that beg for attention. Taking a deep breath you begin to bind the fabric around the wound, wincing and panting as your exposed flesh touches the soft material; dust and ash shuddering from above you to flutter across your skin. Shielding your head from the trickles of debris you twist onto your front, hauling your useless leg behind you as you shuffle closer to Ray with his hand outstretched.
“Y/N?” You hear him choke out your name feebly through your ringing daze, and once you are close enough you tug on his hand; hearing him curse. “We can’t get out” he tells you desperately as he locks onto you, the depths of his eyes frantic and fearful. With a cold sweat setting in and making it harder to breathe, you look around and notice a window glistening with heat. “There,” you point, but Ray shakes his head in rejection.
“Too far down,” he lets out a gut-wrenching cough, “I’ve already thought about it.”. Faintly you can here sirens in the distance; your mind quickly jumping to the safety of the rest of your crew. “Think about it again,” you command while working your way over to the sill, feeling it burn your forearms as you lean against it to look out and on to the street; staring down at the distant ground as you start to shake involuntarily from exertion.
Now turning back to the room, you watch the flames viciously creep towards you; time quickly running out. “Can you move Ray?” you ask while motioning to a large, plush arm chair with a high back adorned with ash, though mostly intact. He struggles, wobbling to his feet and lurching towards it, collapsing onto the seat with the floorboards letting out a moan underfoot. “You’re right,” he jokes weakly “I feel much better.”
“Bring it over,” you instruct, struggling to keep a grip on consciousness as the pain in your leg works its way up your body, setting in your bones. He does as you say, pushing the chair towards you and the window, though your vision blurs as you fade in and out. You motion weakly to his pants, “off.”
“Now’s not the time,” he smiles, but as you roll your eyes you see he begins to strip off his jeans and offers them to you. In a swift motion you tear the denim with your knife, creating a makeshift rope.
“Help me up?” you ask and he’s at your side in an instant. Ignoring the pain as best you can, Ray wraps an arm around you, lifting you to your feet. You snatch at the armchair, shuffling it closer to you before Ray helps you to push it up against the window. With a grunt, He smashes the glass with his elbow, blood dripping from the fragments lodging into his skin. Now working together you manoeuvre the chair to face the room, the back leaning slightly out the window and into the cold, refreshing air.
“We’ve gotta sit” you gasp, keeling over and coughing violently. Ray nods, dragging you to the seat and placing you gently in it. You give him his jeans and he squeezes in next to you, wrapping the fabric under the chair then around your bodies. You look at him as your head spins, holding your hand out for him to cling to firmly. “We’re fucking dead” he says in an almost cheerful tone and you wheeze, placing your uninjured foot flat on the floor. He plants his feet too, and you both close your eyes. “On three,” he says, “one-” he pushes off with his feet and you feel your stomach churning and rushing into your throat; hurtling backwards and out of the window. Clenching your mouth shut, the wind rushes around you noisily as you plummet to the ground, landing with a painful crunch.
Your eyes are still shut, but you can hear Ray laughing incredulously. “We made it” he exclaims, but his words falter a fraction, enough for concern to stir inside of you. Opening your eyes you stare up at the building you fell from, smoke rushing as the wall shakes and begins to tumble. “Don’t look!” you screech, instinctively curling into Ray’s waiting arms as searing pain crushes you, leaving you alone in the rubble, dust and ash.
Your day didn't exactly go to plan; your phone decided to just not work, there was congested traffic when you were heading to work in the city and you had to deal with shitty customers who seemed to think they know better. But you plastered a smile on your face and carried on, eyes flicking to the clock that so graciously reminded you of how close you were to closing time. How close you were to being home with Ryan. Your mind pondered on how his day was going, probably infinitely better than yours.
"Excuse me?" A middle aged women coughed, attempting to get your attention. Your train of thought was quickly put on hold as you switched to your customer service mode. You gave the woman a smile and sorted out her needs and by the time you were done, it was home time.

To say you raced out was an understatement. You made it to your car in record time and put your head back for a second as your body made contact with the seat. You prayed that you would miss peak hour and have a smooth drive home.
A smooth drive apparently wasn't written in the books today. It took you an hour and a half to get home, needless to say the residual anger you had from your day was bubbling and festering into something more. As soon as you stepped foot into your house, you threw your keys on the ground and screamed.
"Y/N?" You heard a deep voice say, stopping you in the moment. You look up to be met with familiar face, normally it would calm you down seeing Ryan after a long day at work but today was different. You just felt anger coursing through your veins. You wanted to shove him out of the way - and you did. You saunted off to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, you could hear Ryan's footsteps following you as they weren't that discrete.
"I'm fucking mad. Today has just been a shit day," You exclaim, making no eye contact with Ryan, only looking at the blank wall in front of you. You felt a little better after the drink, but not 100%.
Ryan snaked his arms around your waist and squeezed you slightly, resting his chin on your collarbone. You tried to shrug him off but he resisted.

Hey, so it's been awhile. But I really want to get back into writing because I'm almost done with uni for the year! So feel free to send in requests !!
Heya, I was wondering if you'd be able to write a Ryan Haywood x reader in the office?
You heard screaming and yelling through the thin wall that separated you from the achievement hunter room, or as Matt describes it “hell”. You take off your headphones and look around; no-one else seemed to even be a little bit concerned, only transfixed on the screens in front of them. You furrow your brows, you were only a newbie and you were still yet to understand the know-how of how this department operated.
Letting your curiosity get the better of you, you head towards the achievement hunter room. As you got closer you could hear the sound of glass breaking and Michael’s voice boom “Oh fuck,”. It sounded like a bunch of 5 year olds were let loose in an antique store, or target.
You punch in the code for the door and walk in. Standing near the couch was Ryan, holding one of his many pocket knives that fans graciously sent, and Jeremy, holding a spherical object it his hand, poises and ready to fire. Jeremy lobes the ball at the wall screaming “MOON BALL!”
You heard the ball bounce off the wall and crouched down with your hands shielding your face. You hear it bounce behind you and hit you in the back off the head. “Oww,” You mutter, your hands rubbing the place where the moon ball had left an impact on the back of your neck. Ryan immediately turns to face you and gets down to your level.
“Y/N, are you okay?” You could feel the back of your neck throbbing you and your eyes begin to sting from the impact. You wanted to say “Yes” but Ryan could read you like a book. You just simply shook your head.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to. I -” Jeremy exasperated, his eyes pleading that he was in fact sorry. “Here,” Ryan places the moon ball in your hand and gives you a nod. “Do it,”
You smile and lobe the ball, you were at the perfect height, so it hit Jeremy right in the crotch. You couldn’t help but laugh when he heeled over in pain, wincing “I deserved that.”
“Yeah, you did.” Michael rebuttals, also laughing. “And that’s it for this week’s AWHU!”
