Understanding Different Types of Sugar
Sugars may look similar, but they differ in source, refining level, and best uses.
Cane sugar – Clean sweetness, widely used in beverages and confectionery
Beet sugar – Chemically almost identical to cane sugar, common in large-scale production
Coconut palm sugar – Milder flavor and generally lower glycemic index
ICUMSA 45 – Highly refined white sugar with very low color and ash content
Choosing the right type depends on the requirements of the final product.
