The Book

My patrons voted for me to do a piece for each episode this year so it’s February, and time for episode two!

Here’s something interesting from the book:

So when Anathema and Newt are burning the book, Adam actually sees it but sees a vision of Agnes floating up in the flames, who acknowledges him. This wasn’t used in S1, but I’m very curious about its specific inclusion in the book and its potential meaning of a connection between Agnes and Adam. But also, Agnes powers too.

If she can appear like this to Adam, who else could she potentially appear to? I’m very much of the opinion that I don’t think Newt or Anathema will appear again in the finale. The point of burning the book was because they’re choosing their own path and destiny, it would seem almost cruel to thrust them back into the story again. But perhaps Agnes herself could appear? Maybe as a ghost or a vision? Who would she appear to? In person in heaven to Aziraphale? In a dream or vision to Crowley? Or like a wisp of a smoke to even Muriel?

Would she be helpful, or still maddeningly cryptic like her prophesies? Would she bring good tidings, or warnings? Perhaps she’s a harbinger of doom?
