It's 1:30am and I'm looking at my daughter's art (she's five) and I am so proud of her and her technique. She's started drawing people with bodies and hair and not just circles with smiles... she's gotten the basic shapes of most animals down too... God It's just so cool to see her worldview and perception in action.
When I taught art classes I would have grandparents drawing for the first time and they would be doing great and they would talk about how bad they are and it's! Just! No! You're doing fantastic! You're doing it! You're trying and you're drawing! Never give up and just remember art is about having fun and expressing yourself!!!!!! Don't compare your technique to someone who has been drawing for years! You are going and enjoying at your own pace!!!!
