It⦠was a bad idea. Breaking up with Ahiga.
You donβt even really know what possessed you to do such an insane thing instead of talking to him. Before you knew it, you were packing your things. Wyonia was already at your parentsβ for the weekend with all of her essentials. You could come back for the rest.
He stood in the corner of the room, whimpering pitifully, fully shifted into a monster of a man with his ears pinned against his head and his tail between his legs like a wounded animal.
βDonβt leave me,β the words came out wrong, raspier than usual, from how shifted he was and the fact he had been crying for hours. βPlease, love, I love you. I need you.β
βYou donβt,β you spat, tears threatening your own eyes again. Fuck, it hurt so bad.
But, you couldnβt go back now. Not after youβd seen those texts. Sweet, heart felt words that made your stomach churn. Youβd never been great with that kind of thing, except for spurts here and there when you became fantastic.
βI miss you.β
βI love you.β
βYouβre the best.β
βCall me. I need to hear your voice.β
Who the fuck was Mitena anyway? Why did she have all those emojis after her name? She was a werewolf, that much was clear from her contact photo, and she was beautiful. It made your stomach drop when you saw her on the screen.
βYes I do. I canβt go back to living without you,β his voice broke as he walked over to you; falling to his knees and burying his snout between your shoulders. βPlease. Please I canβt do this. Y/N, youβre my everything. We have a child. Youβre carrying my pup.β
His voice broke as his hot tears wet your back. Where was the towering, blood thirsty werewolf criminal (crime boss? You never asked for details), and why has he been replaced by this whimpering pup?
βY/N,β his voice warbled as he tightened his grip, digging his claws into your skin. βTell me what I did. Iβll do anything to fix it. Love just, just donβt leave me.β
βItβs too late,β you hiccupped, pushing away his paws that fell away too easily.
"You can't do this," he rasped, his ears pressed tightly against his ears as he peered up at you, wet tears clinging to his lashes.
"I can, and I am. We'll... we'll figure out everything about the pup later. I would never keep you from him," you muttered as you forced yourself to zip up your bag.
"And, and Wyonia?" his voice trembled. "You can't take my baby away from me, Y/N. Please."
"I wouldn't do that," you whispered, and he let out a shaky sigh of relief.
"My love... let me fix whatever I broke. Please," he whispered again, but you shook your head.
"No. There's nothing left to fix," you said stiffly as you stepped away from him.
"At least let me drive you to your parents. You shouldn't be driving when you're upset," he said, and you wanted to point out that he was upset too, but he was already striding over to where he kept his keys.
It was an awkward drive to your parents' house, but he didn't try to stop you. Instead he just said nothing, looking pitiful the entire time.
"You can come get Wyonia tomorrow for a visit," you said, hand on the door handle. He nodded. You got out. "Good-bye, Ahiga."
