@aggieturner / march 24th / #406 (the hospital)
she remembered her first impressions of aggie's wounds, under the sterile light of the bathroom in their quarantine suite. how difficult it had been to figure out a system of signals that ensured she wasn't just making the entire situation unbearable for the other woman. she wished she'd had more at the time, but after a few days together, it had felt easier— and now she had the keys to 406.
"what do you think!" she hadn't looked at much of the space, focused more on finding all of the supplies that she needed in order to set up something that amounted to an emergency triage center. the new medical suite filled with boxes of sheets and and random goods. and somehow, it had devolved into even more chaos. but an ellery-style organized chaos, at least that's what she would say if anyone asked.
"i was hoping to clean and re-bandage your wrists," and then, if everything went well, she could take a look at the other injuries that were doing a slow job of mending themselves. but as she'd learned, it was best to take small steps. "if that's okay."
