every single one of your accusations towards Ward has been shot down literally millions of times with canon facts (not a nazi, for example, go read the Hydra Wikipedia page, doll) so you can take your bitterness about people finally turning their brains on and take it to a hate tag, not here. Thank you.
When you say my accusations, I assume youâre referring to the post where I said, âWard is a misogynistic, manipulative, murdering fucking NAZI who betrayed the team, worked for Hydra, and threatened to rape SkyeâŚâ
I made this post a while ago, and I think it sums up why I view Ward as a huge misogynist.
As for manipulation, I donât see how you could possibly refute that. He got the team to trust him and then used their resources, knowledge, and trust. He also repeatedly alluded to their past afterwards to convince them to let him off the hook for his shitty actions, as well as telling Skye he knew about her past to try to convince her to join him. If you donât consider that manipulation, I suggest you reevaluate your definition.
And, as for being a Nazi, these images might clear things up.
So if Hydra isnât a Nazi organization, this generation sure does have a hell of a lot of ties to it. And donât give me bullshit about âbut ward wasnât a true believerâ because plenty of Nazis during the real holocaust werenât dedicated to the cause, or even felt bad, but that didnât mean that they werenât Nazis.
Betraying the team is so goddamn obvious I donât need to explain it. He also did work for Hydra, and that does not need to be proven either, because itâs explicitly stated several times in canon.
As for the rape threat, here are his exact words. âFor the first time in a while, I wanted something for myself.â He is explicitly talking about Skye here. Then, he says, âMaybe Iâll just take what I want,â while threateningly getting closer. Thatâs a rape threat. That is very, very clearly, a rape threat.Â
Also, there is a certain thing called deceptive rape, also called ârape by deception. A handy definition: âRape by deception is a crime in which the perpetrator has the victimâs sexual consent and compliance, but gains it through deception or fraudulent statements or actions.â Wait⌠that sounds.. exactly like what he did with Melinda May, doesnât it? He lied to her and deceived her to convince her to sleep with him, also using that to manipulate her to trust him, which is disgusting in its own right. Ergo, deceptive rape.
Weâve also got the fact that we have actually seen him murder good people, such as Agent Koenig, for his advancement and that of Hydra. He also tried to kill FitzSimmons. Do not tell me that âhe did it to help them,â because throwing people into the ocean to die is not to their benefit. He only did that because he couldnât get them to get out so he could kill them another way. If heâd left them in the pod on the plane, apparently no one else could gets in, so they would have been safe.Â
I feel for Young!Ward. I donât blame him for burning his house down. I understand that he was put through a horribly abusive childhood and continued to have an abusive relationship with Garrett. However, a sad background and painful childhood do NOT justify any of his actions.Â
I generally donât get involved in fandom wars, but this one is just ridiculous. Wardâs actions are not excusable, and he is garbage. Thanks for your time, asshole.
Fitz in episode 21
Everyone has been so caught up with Ward, I don't think we stopped and looked at Fitz's lines from the last episode. When he sets off the EMP and Ward came back up stairs, he says "let him die. He deserves to die." While he has been okay with death earlier in the season, such as when he's talking to Simmons about centipede soldiers, I feel like this line represents a very big change for Fitz's character. When he was talking about the soldiers, it wasn't that he wanted anyone to die. It's was that he was willing to do whatever he had to to protect Simmons. In episode 21, I feel like he kinda became Ward from episode 8. Garrett is someone that he absolutely hates. He feels so much rage towards him that he's okay with killing him without it being in a direct combat situation. He wasn't in immediate danger of death, and neither was Simmons. He didn't try to kill Garrett to protect. He tried to kill him just for the sake of causing his death. I think it's a big change, because the lack of immediate danger makes it so it technically cannot be considered a crime of passion.Â
I literally live on the Skyeward tag.
