Fuck these people. I am all for free speech, but once you start telling people to kill themselves and calling children terrible things, you can fuck right off. They were scum of the earth. I'm an atheist and yet the church people in the parade were awesome. They were giving put free hugs and I hugged so many! I became an atheist after I came out as gay and started reading the bible. It was in reading the bible that I realized I didn't believe anymore. And i realized it didn't serve me anymore. My beliefs left me believing that I deserved abuse because it was gods will. That I was put here to be the worlds punching bag. That I did something to deserve it. So when I stopped believing j started believing in myself and realized I had to save myself. I realized we only had this life and I was wasting it being the worlds bitch. So I started living my life for me, and helping other people who were stuck here with me. I started to realize the only people who could forgive me are the people I hurt, so it made me never want to hurt anyone (not like this was a thing for me, but still). It allowed me to take responsibility for my action and to love the people in my life more because I knew once they were gone I didn't get another chance. That's my journey. And its not everyone's. I have friends who are religious and I still love them, as long as it makes them a better person and they aren't imprisioned by it or having to do things against their will (like women in other countries who are forced to wear sonething that covers their face or they face death). As long as the person is loving and doesn't try to save me, I love them back. I don't need saving.
