Headcanon: Xichen is gay, JGY is bi, Mingjue is demi-sexual gay (Mingjue sent Xichen many letters about how competent and smart his new right-hand-man was, and then when Meng Yao arrived, Mingjue got a very aggrieved letter back saying yOu DiDn’T tElL mE hE wAs CuTe MiNgJuE-xIoNg hE hAs DiMpLeS!! at which point Mingjue was like “huh, what a weird thing to fixate on”... and then Meng Yao got back and Mingjue was like “gosh I missed him I’m glad he’s home safe I sure care about him a lot oh GOD HE DOES HAVE DIMPLES-”)

Heartcanon: Xichen usually sleeps in the middle, because he can’t fall asleep unless he’s on his back, and JGY and Mingjue cuddle up against/on him. when he wakes up at five, he’ll extricate himself, and without fail every single morning when he comes back after meditating with morning tea, he’ll find JGY and Mingjue curled up together around each other in the warm spot he left :.)

Gutcanon: we know that drunk!Xichen is loud and enthusiastic, but what about the other two? whilst it’s very hard to get Mingjue drunk because He Big, when he is drunk he’s very weepy, but in a happy way - he’s just so glad you’re there and loves you very much! he has a lot of feelings and today he’s expressing them via tears!!! JGY has a pretty high alcohol tolerance, especially considering his size and build and that he really doesn’t drink much, but when the alcohol finally hits him it hits him like a truck and he will just curl up in the nearest Safe Person’s lap and pass the fuck out out. very cuddly, very grumpy if you try to move him off you. this reaction to drink stems from when Meng Shi would give him alcohol to keep him quiet (read: SAFE) at night in the brothel when he was a child ;_; 

Junkcanon: [slaps hand down on table] they switch. they all have their own personal issues re: power/control, and depending on their mood and current dramas, they’ll change up who’s in charge and doing what to whom. 

Spleencanon: with lots of dual cultivation and careful management of their respective cores, all three of them live long and fulfilled lives and and and Mingjue goes grey and they get to see Zixuan and Yanli’s billion kids grow up safely and no one kills anyone that we like and they’re all happy forever tHE END
