Two months after the events of Avengers: Endgame and everyone is slowly getting used to the new “normal”.

In another reality, Loki, who had escaped capture with the Tesseract after the Battle of New York and has been in hiding ever since, approaches his brother, begging for help: Galactus, the Eater of Worlds is threatening all the Nine Realms. The brothers go to the Avengers for help, only to find them fractured and squabbling in the aftermath of Civil War. Steve, gravely injured from an alien attack but too stubborn to stand down from a fight, Natasha, just trying to keep her family together, and Tony, whose leftover anger from the splitting of the Avengers acts as a smokescreen for his desperate need to make things right, agree to work together with their former enemy for the good of the universe.

They have barely reached an accord when they are attacked by alien minions of Galactus, set on destroying this tentative alliance before it can get off the ground. In a desperate attempt to save their lives, a weakened Loki transports the group away - a little farther than he had anticipated - forced to leave Thor behind to save the rest.

Now Loki, Tony, Steve and Natasha find themselves in an alternate universe, coming to terms with a future world struggling in the aftermath of half the population being lost and then found - a world where they no longer exist.

Can they get back to their own universe while there is still a universe to return to?

And can they accept the fact that none of them appears to survive the Endgame?
