Hey all! Mind sharing this around please! If you recall the Afro-Indigenous family I have shared the fundraisers for hotel rooms for before, they are in need again!!!! Consider it time to pay reparations.

psst do y'all think y'all can do the indigenous diaspora flag for our jewish, palestinian, mi'kmaq, huron-wendat and afroindigenous siblings? 👀 especially because the forced removal of jewish and black people is often underlooked when we talk about displacement even in indigenous spaces which to me is wild and i think it's Also important to show solidarity with our palestinian siblings who're actively being displaced right now (& unfortunately i have friends who're descendants of nakba survivors as well as jewish friends who're descendants of forced exodus in europe & in west asia) and i know other mi'kmaw — my own ancestors included — who were essentially forced off their own lands & forced to assimilate to white canadian culture & one of my nations the huron-wendat were literally forced off our ancestral home of huronia in ontario to move elsewhere to quebec & america. kesalul & wela'lioq !!

Indigenous and Black Solidarity, Transcendence through race, United by Feminism. Created by Joelle Joyner circa 2020.
In this poster, we can see the unification and solidarity between Indigenous women and African women. They do not stand with shame or fear despite the traumas they have both experienced, generational or current. They stand hopeful and proud to be women of their culture, uniting with other women proud to be unapologetically themselves.
Meet KamiJo White Clay @ _kamikrow Apsáalooke (Crow) Artist, Creative, Model, IAIA Student
“Daaxpitche Axpaaliash - Bear Medicine is my Apsáalooke name and KamiJo White Clay is my English name. I am a member of the Apsáalooke (Crow) Nation and come from the Greasy Mouth clan and am a child of the Whistling Water clan. I was born and raised on the Crow reservation but now reside in Santa Fe, NM as a college student at the Institute of American Indian Arts. On my maternal side of the family, I am a Whiteclay, Horn, and Bear Claw. I am the 7th generation of Chief Pretty Eagle, one of the first Crow delegates to travel to Washington, D.C. on behalf of the Crow Nation. My full last name is White Clay On The Forehead and it comes from my great-great-great grandpa who used white clay as his medicine when he went into battle. My artwork is a mix between contemporary understanding and being a modern- day Indigenous woman. I intertwine the workings of Apsaalooké design and identity where most of my work is personal but acts as a way to cope with and understand the world around me.” - KamiJo White Clay
