πβπΏ A Cry for Help fromππ³οΈββ§οΈ Queer Refugees in East Africa βπΏπ
Every day, we wake up not knowing if we will survive. As LGBTIQA+ refugees in East Africa, our lives are shaped by trauma, fear, and constant uncertainty. We escaped violence, imprisonment, and hatred only to find ourselves fighting a new battle: starvation, sickness, and isolation.
We are human beings, just like everyone else.
We deserve dignity.
We deserve safety.
We deserve a chance to live.
Right now, many of us have no food. No clean water. No access to ARVs or basic medicine. Our bodies are weakening, and our spirits are breaking. The world may not see what we go through, but the pain is real. The trauma is deep. And the silence around our suffering is unbearable.
Please, stand with us.
Share our story.
Support us if you can.
Help us to survive until resettlement. Your kindness no matter how small can save a life.
We donβt want to lose another queer brother or sister.
We are fighting to stay alive.
We are begging to be heard.
ππ Being queer is NOT a crime.
Being alive should NOT be this hard.
If you are able, please support our fundraiser and help us get food, ARVs, and nutritional supplements. Together, you can help keep hope alive.
Your solidarity means everything.
Please donβt look awayππΏππΏππΏππ³οΈββ§οΈ.
