This drawing is inspired by @gallusrostromegalus' post where Kenpachi gives a TED talk about his experience as a male prostitute. That post made me laugh a lot, so as a contribution I decided to add my own interpretation inspired by it.

The geishas of Tsubaki House often entertain their clients with various games, at which Kenpachi excels notably. His favorite is Konpira Fune Fune.

Konpira Fune Fune is a traditional Japanese game that combines skill, speed and rhythm. Two players sit facing each other with a small object (such as a sake cup or bowl) placed on a tray in the center. To the rhythm of a traditional song, which gradually speeds up, players must alternate between touching the object with an open palm and hitting the tray with a closed fist if one of the players takes the object in their hands. The object can only be held in the hands for a maximum of three consecutive turns. If a player makes a mistake in the gestures, they lose the round and, as a penalty, must drink.

Madame Tsubaki is delighted with Zaraki, as he manages to get all the customers drunk, and drunk customers tend to drop their coins more easily. However, she becomes enraged when Kenpachi loses on purpose, simply because he is bored and wants to drink.

This has been in my brain since I read '9th Division Tech Support'

That's been months. Maybe half a year or smth.

It finally exists. It's super silly but it brings me joy and I finally wanted to get it out of brain and into a viewable state

@gallusrostromegalus I'm currently going through the #AEIWAM tag (again) and I stopped for a moment to try my hand at sketching this moment between Kenpachi and Byakuya from one of your snippets

Oh hey, is this Saikoro the place with the big gambling house?" Zaraki asked, tapping a point on the map just upriver. "I believe so?" Byakuya nodded. "...Ya wanna learn how to shark at pool?" Zaraki grinned the same conspiratorial grin. This time, Byakuya nodded enthusiastically.

So let’s get started with

Unohana

Unohana is one of the first to advocate for Yura’s continued existence during the captain’s meeting called upon Yamamoto discovering those rumors about Yura being Aizen or some sort of creation of his were true.

AEIWAM’s Aizen is TERRIFIED of Unohana, and Yura is no different. Unohana can hear Yura’s hammering heart every time he walks by her office.

Entering the division headed by a captain he fears above all else in the soul society may seem a strange choice, but Yura has his reasons.

One of them is while Unohana scares him in a deep, primal way, that makes him ADMIRE her. One of the defining features of Yura’s character is how much of a stranglehold Aizen’s perceptions have on his psyche.

While Aizen was a dangerous threat to the soul society, in AEIWAM’s canon, he was nowhere near the threat he or Yura thinks he was. To Yura, Aizen is terrifying, due to the threat AIZEN thought he posed, which has affected Yura’s perceptions of him.

For Unohana to terrify Aizen, the greatest of all threats in his mind, she must be a shining beacon of morality, power, and hope, and as such, while he is terrified of her, he also idolizes her, and puts her on a pedestal so high it would make the most hardcore fandom Stan blush.

Unohana’s interactions with Yura have done nothing to dull this perception of her. Following his joining of the 4th division, He’s given a plague doctor’s mask and a hood by Unohana, to conceal his face. To Yura; The mask being like the ones worn by those who fought one of the deadliest diseases known to man, despite many lacking either the means or the knowledge to treat the afflicted, symbolized Unohana’s trust that he could truly be the complete opposite of Aizen: Someone who’s compassion manifested was trying to truly help those in need, even if he at present lacked the knowledge.

I was inspired by @gallusrostromegalus picture of Dragon Orihime to do one of my own. I like their idea of the fairies being little dragony dudes so I tried my hand at designing them.
