there’s so much ground to cover that she’s not even sure where to start. so much that they’ve lost, so much that they’ve gained. caroline lets out a small sigh, tucking her head against elena’s shoulder as she stares out the window, watching the tree branches sway in the wind. ❝ i think you’re really gonna like the twins. ❞ she murmurs, feeling her lips twist upwards into a small smile. ❝ josie’s brilliant. i mean she’s a mini-ric, and she looks so much like jo it’s ridiculous. lizzie i think is taking after me. i mean she’s killer, and she’s...gonna be a real pain in the ass when she’s a teenager but, ❞ she loves that. caroline trails off after a few seconds, the smile slowly fading. ❝ you’re obviously the godmother, by the way. well, you and bonnie. ❞ she looks up at the brunette, trying to read her expression. ❝ i missed you, you know? mystic falls sucks without you. ❞          /          @aegenes

𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦.    he should’ve left her  /   should’ve left this cursed place behind once and for all.    too many memories from the past,   too many secrets,  too many dark things   /   creatures,   waiting and waiting,   desperate to get out.    he’s not supposed to be a part of it,   and he doesn’t want to.    the past is the past.    he’s a good person now.    then again..   he can’t hide from what he truly is,   a monster within.    his true nature   /   his true identity.    but there’s something else he can’t seem to hide from:   elena gilbert.    outstanding,   stunningly beautiful and not easy to forget.    how is he supposed to leave her behind,   when everything inside of him is screaming to be with her?    a little smile gracing his features,   reaching out for her,   a hold of her wrist,   thumb caressing her soft and smooth skin.    ❝    let me take you out.    ❞    his gaze soft,   forest green eyes travelling up to find hers.    ❝    a date.   just the two of us.    ❞    /    @aegenes  <3

         HANDS ARE QUICK TO BRUSH AWAY THE FALLEN TEARS whenever she sees someone out of the corner of her eye walking toward her.  a deep , shaky  breath is taken in , the thick of her palms mush against flushed , wet cheeks !  head turns away even though eleanor already knows that she’s been found out . . crying alone in the most unpopulated area of their high school.   sniffling ,  head is tilted downward toward concrete as  nell tried to play it off as best as she could.   (  too much was coming on at once && so she got overwhelmed out of no where.   her mother’s death anniversary ,  her brother . . falling deeper into his hole && their family broken apart a little at a time.  it was all of them in that house ,  then it wasn’t.  )   ;      ❝ elena , hey. ❞  says nell ,  head rising to meet gaze as best as she could---eyes still wet , distress clear.    ❝ no , no . . no one hurt me. i just- i’m going through a-a hard time right now.  with so much happening this month , so much in my . . in my life. ❞    pause is taken for a deep breath to be brought into aching lungs.     ❝ i got overwhelmed out of no where , really.  it’s nothing━you don’t-you don’t have to deal with this.  ❞   but she knew her friend would because that was the type of person elena gilbert is.   / @aegenes    cont. !

oh,   how much she pains him.    the fragile sound of her voice echoes around,   full of grief,   full of sorrow.    she’s in pain,   which means he’s in pain as well.    she does that to him.    there’s confusion,   eyes flickering back and forth between hers,   slowly beginning to realize what she did weeks ago.    eyes drift away,   hundreds of thoughts attacking the mind like it had done never before.    still confused as ever,   he manages to look down,   face her,   brows furrowed and lips parted.    ❝    you..   got..   rid of it?  what the hell happened?    ❞    words escapes fleshed lips,   a bare whisper.    he’s confused,   overwhelmed,   defeated.    but mostly there’s guilt.    and a lot of it.    he should’ve been there for her,   should’ve comforted her.    hand reaching out for her upper arm,   bringing her closer to his chest,   giving his head a few shakes.    ❝    it’s okay.   you’re okay.   we’re okay.    ❞    he tries to comfort her,   tries to reassurance her.    he could never hate her.    ❝    i’m so sorry.   i should’ve been there with you.   i should’ve…   that night..  it was a mistake.   we never should’ve..    ❞    he’s trying his hardest to make her feel better,   to convince the both of them that EVERYTHING will be alright soon enough,   but he can’t find the right words to say.    in fact,   he’s only making it much worse.    a sigh of defeat rolls down his tongue,   pressing her body against his own,   keeping her close.    he could’ve been a father,   could’ve had a baby..   and that thought alone,   it’s scary,   terrifying even.    hands cupping her face,   forcing her to look at him,   eyes locked.    ❝    i’m so fucking sorry.   it’s never going to happen again,   okay?   i promise.   it’s you and me.   you tell me everything from now on,  you understand?   everything.   no more lies between us.    ❞     /     continued.

what a disappointment he truly is to her.    it’s fascinating to him,   almost.    but a heart can only take so much.    he still cares.    ELENA GILBERT,   YOU’RE BRANDED ON HIS SOUL.    the ripper knows it   /   feels it,   too.    he can’t push her away,   can’t stay away from her,   he wants to but he just can’t.    ❝    you need to calm down.    ❞    he’s not suggesting it,   he’s demanding it.    eyes fixated on the woman standing in front of him,   another step taken closer,   and so he reaches out for her,   a hold of her wrist,   and with a swift movement he pulls her back in,   fragile body colliding against his very own.    the right fit   /   the perfect fit.    he inhales,   head tilted,   his hand reaching out for her,   slowly and carefully so,   tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.    ❝    you’re afraid of me,   aren’t you?    ❞    it’s nothing new,   everyone is.    the ripper is something else entirely,   she should’ve known.    ❝    you wanted me here.   you wanted me to find you,   you wanted me to listen to you.   so..   here i am.   don’t act like you didn’t.    ❞    there’s a pause,   a moment passes by,   fingertips tracing down to her jawline,   marveling at the softness of her skin.    another moment,   another look is given before he decides to create some distance,   to give her some space.    a few steps taken back,   eyes still locked,   drowning,   losing it completely.    yes,   she truly is the one.    the love of his immortal life.    ❝    i can go,   if that’s what you really want.   but i think we both know you want something else entirely,  don’t you?    ❞     /     continued.
