trying to come up with an analogy that adequately describes my adhd
like, it's like when you do a load of laundry and you take it out of the dryer and put it back in the basket to carry back to your room, except once you take those five steps to get to your room you no longer feel like folding/putting away this basket of clean laundry, so instead you just live out of this laundry basket just digging around and taking things out as you need them, except eventually you'll have enough dirty laundry that you need to run another load through the wash, so you dump what's left of the clean laundry onto your bed or your desk chair or the floor whatever's most convenient and tell yourself you'll actually put it away now, but you never actually get around to it and then you take the new load of clean laundry out of the dryer and put it back in the basket to carry back to your room and the cycle just goes on and on and the pile on the bed or desk chair or floor or whatever gets bigger and bigger and soon enough you can't tell what's clean and what's dirty except it's not just laundry it's everything
