On my way to Mass MoCA I happened to notice a sign in Adams: Susan B. Anthony Museum >>>of course I had to go see! I wasn’t disappointed with the reverence the caretakers of the property gave off. I was amazed also with the beauty of the area; impossibly high and imposing mountain range all around, the intensity of the green on the fields dotted with distant black cows, while struck with the thought that when she was growing up, this area was either entirely clear cut for farm land or a giant forest. I felt a sense of living somewhere way way out in the wilds, and how did either of those environments affect her development of character?
